The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe certainly had highs and lows during her week in San Antonio, TX.

"With Ben being only 26, I was curious to know about his dating past and if he was really reading for marriage. What I learned is that Ben is a very mature 26. The guy is marriage material. That's a fact," Bristowe wrote in her People blog.
And Bristowe had been thoroughly anticipating spending a full day with Booth all alone.
"I had been waiting for this one this date since the first night when I gave Shawn the first impression rose. I wanted to have a nice relaxing day with Shawn. We got to go kayaking... It was so peaceful -- and necessary -- for us to talk, laugh and just enjoy one another's company," Bristowe explained.
Bristowe respected how Booth stood up for his buddy Joshua Alders, who had embarrassed himself on a group date by telling the Bachelorette no one liked Nick Viall and everyone was against him staying on the show. When Alders asked for support from the group, no one backed him or even really agreed with him.
Bristowe said Alders' conversation made for "a disastrous ending" to the group-date night. She knew his intentions and thoughts were coming from a good place, but it sparked some controversy. Regardless, Bristowe said she realized she'd never be able to please everyone.
"Shawn is a gentleman with a good heart. He wanted to stand up for Joshua because that was his friend, and he knew how upset Joshua was the next morning for causing any kind of problem. I really do think that spoke to Shawn's character," she said.
That night, Bristowe and Booth snuggled up in a log cabin after enjoying a bonfire outside. She noted it was an "ideal hangout" to drink wine and relax with such a "handsome man." They also made leaps and bounds in their relationship when Booth admitted he was falling in love with her.
"Hearing Shawn talk about his [car] accident made me want to just throw my arms around him, cry and tell him how happy I was that he was there in that moment with me. Watching him let his guard down was the reason I couldn't hold back, and I had to tell him I was falling, too," Bristowe confessed.
"There was a natural chemistry between us, and it was unlike anything I had felt before. And if that couldn't have felt more romantic, we then hopped into a canoe and rowed out to the middle of a pond. I couldn't wait to surprise Shawn with fireworks. It was the perfect way to end it. I will never forget that night."
In addition to the situation Alders created, another low point for Bristowe this week was Ian Thomson's outburst.
During last night's episode, Thomson complimented himself about five different times to justify why it didn't make sense Bristowe wasn't interested in him. Thomson also suggested he'd make a great Bachelor for the ABC franchise since he was such an amazing catch. The episode ended with Thomson dumping Bristowe, calling her shallow among other offensive things.

"This coming from a man who felt the need to explain that he has no trouble getting women to sleep with him back home. Honestly, the more I got to know Ian, the more arrogant I realized he was. Yes, he's very intelligent, and I respect his opinions. I also believe in honest and open communication. But the accusatory way in which he confronted me was downright nasty and designed to hurt me. And it did hurt me."
