The Bachelorette alum Kaitlyn Bristowe has apologized for her crude comment about pleasuring a man, seemingly Zac Clark, which appeared to be a jab taken at Tayshia Adams.

"I apologize how it came off. My sense of humor isn't for everyone," Kaitlyn wrote on Facebook.

According to Kaitlyn, "a guy from Bachelor Nation" had DM'ed her on Instagram following her August 2023 split from ex-fiance Jason Tartick and asked her out on a date.

Kaitlyn, who was first romantically linked to Zac in December 2023, insinuated on the "U Up?" podcast earlier this week -- without identifying Tayshia and Zac by name -- that she had texted Tayshia to give her a "heads-up" about the situation and hopefully receive her blessing.

"[This woman and I] hadn't talked in months, and no... we're not friends," Kaitlyn explained of Zac's ex-fiancee, adding, "She's been moved on for a while now [apparently with Summer House alum Luke Gulbranson] and she seems really happy."

Kaitlyn thought Tayshia would reply, "I don't love it, but of course I'm not going to say [no]."

However, according to Kaitlyn, that is "not" what happened at all and the women now have bad blood between them.

"She called and was very upset," Kaitlyn recalled of the heated exchange.

"She said, 'I always knew you were a bad person and you've confirmed it. Your true colors are showing.' And then, I hung up and said [to myself], 'Now, I just want to send her a picture of me sucking his d-ck.'"

Kaitlyn's "d-ck" comment went viral, and many fans were talking about the bold and cutting remark on the "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast's Facebook group.

In response to a fan, Kaitlyn not only apologized and mentioned how her humor "isn't for everyone," but she insisted that she "definitely didn't mean" what she had said.

"[Jared Freid] is a comedian and sometimes I try to get him to laugh with shock value," she wrote of the "U Up?" podcaster.

"I'm sorry to everyone who took offense to this. I'm feeling really quite terrible about it today."

Kaitlyn also explained, "That's not how I responded to her. I apologized. I was just trying to make a joke with Jared cuz he's a comedian and I like trying to make comedians laugh. But [I] understand that's easy for people to hate on me for."

Kaitlyn did share on the "U Up?" podcast that she was completely shocked by the woman's nasty response, which Kaitlyn suggested was "not reasonable" and embarrassing.

"You should've seen my face on the call," Kaitlyn quipped, dropping her jaw to the floor. "I was like, 'Oh!' And I was just like, 'I am so sorry. I actually did not think you were going to respond. I am actually really sorry.'"

Tayshia and Kaitlyn, who said she had a "work situation" with this woman before, had co-hosted Season 17 and Season 18 of The Bachelorette together in 2021.

"[Her reaction] confirmed it for me, like, 'I knew we weren't friends.' I actually knew that she didn't really actually like me in the first place," Kaitlyn said.

Kaitlyn said that despite bumping into this The Bachelor alum at a couple of weddings, they never spoke again.

Tayshia, meanwhile, has yet to publicly address Kaitlyn and Zac's rumored romance, which first made headlines when the pair had partied together in Kaitlyn's Nashville home for New Year's Eve.

Kaitlyn and Zac have since been spotted together multiple times, with sightings in New York and at a wedding.

Kaitlyn concluded on the podcast, "I wonder if she regrets that. If she called me and said [sorry], I would be like, 'Let's go grab a glass of wine and talk about it!'"

Zac had proposed marriage to Tayshia at the end of The Bachelorette's sixteenth season in 2020, but they announced their split in November 2021.

When Kaitlyn and Tayshia had co-hosted The Men Tell All together for Michelle Young's The Bachelorette season in December 2021, Tayshia admitted she was "heartbroken" by the breakup.

Neither Tayshia or Zac, however, has ever revealed specific details on why their engagement didn't work out.

Once fans began gossiping about Kaitlyn and Zac possibly dating, Kaitlyn said people were acting like she had "murdered someone" on social media.

The former Dancing with the Stars winner vented on Instagram of the backlash, which included allegations she had broken "girl code" with Tayshia, "You would think by now I'd be used to the hate. I'm not. Your words hurt. Your shaming hurts."

Kaitlyn noted, "But you don't even know the truth, and your HATE should actually come with consequences. I truly worry about some of your mental health. It's not OK. It's. Not... Shame. On. YOU. Not me."

The Bachelor alum also appeared to address her new relationship with Zac by writing, "I wish I could just share my truth and tell you my side. It's hard to bite my dang tongue sometimes."

Zac's good friend and fellow The Bachelorette alum Blake Moynes described Zac as a genuine man who has "no ulterior motive" for dating another woman in Bachelor Nation.

"[Zac] does not give me the guts, because when I have asked [about Kaitlyn], he makes it awkward," Blake said during a March 2024 appearance on "The Ben & Ashley I: Almost Famous Podcast."

Blake continued, "He moves with so much poise and calmness, and he's so happy in his own life and so wrapped up in trying to continue to help people through his recovery foundation and all his work that there's no money aspect to this at all."

Blake said it's not Zac's goal to be in the public eye and have attention on him.

"He's just easy to be around... because there's no other noise or any sh-t. You just get an actual true friend and the show stuff... is just so to the side," Blake explained of his pal.

"It's nice, because when I'm with him... we never talk about the show. It's always about what he's doing, what I'm doing, and work."
