Bravo has announced Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Kandi Burruss will replace DeShawn Snow for The Real Housewives of Atlanta's second season, which is currently in production.

Snow -- the wife of NBA basketball player Eric Snow -- revealed in January that producers had declined her second-season contract option.
"[The producer] said that I was 'too human for a circus show' and that because the show did so well, they are about to pump up the drama and they didn't think that I would fit in," Snow Essence magazine at the time.
"I'm fine with the decision. It wasn't my decision. They let me go and there are no hard feelings. I am thankful for the opportunity."
Burruss -- who resides in Atlanta with her "live-in fiance" and 6-year-old daughter -- is a former member of the R&B group Xscape and claimed a Grammy Award for her contributions to the TLC hit "No Scrubs." She has also penned songs for other artists including Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child and Alicia Keys.

She will join returning The Real Housewives of Atlanta first-season stars Lisa Wu Hartwell, NeNe Leakes, Sheree Whitfield and Kim Kolciak for the show's second installment, which Bravo ordered last December.
