Kardashian friend Lance Bass is standing up for the family in light of Lamar Odom's struggle to recover from a recent drug overdose.

Bass spoke about the Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars on Saturday, complimenting Khloe Kardashian in particular for her efforts to aid Odom since he was hospitalized after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel on October 13.
"They're doing good," Bass told Us Weekly of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. "I was just over at Kris' house the other day and -- I mean, they put their lives on hold. I give it up to those girls. Love them or hate them, they really stepped up to the plate and saved his life."
Bass, 36, admitted Odom's health scare is "devastating."
"This is like [Kris'] son and it's really sad. He's improving daily, which is great. They have high hopes," said the former Dancing with the Stars contestant and 'N Sync band member.

Odom, 35, is currently receiving treatment and around-the-clock care at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, where he can be close to Khloe and her family. Kris, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian have all visited the former NBA star to show their support.
Bass suggested the Love Ranch South brothel in Nevada might not get out of this situation scot-free. The brothel's owner Dennis Hof has insisted since Odom's incident his establishment boasts a strict no-drug policy, however, Odom had cocaine, herbal Viagra and other prescription pills in his system.
"I think we're really going to see what went down, eventually," Bass said. "And I think there's going to be a lot of people in trouble."
Bass also told Us he's "not surprised" at all that Khloe decided to withdraw her divorce papers in court so she can remain legally married to Odom. The couple had been waiting for a judge to sign off on the paperwork they had filed in July to make their divorce official.
"I think when anybody goes through some tragedy like that it's going to bring you closer. You could always tell that she was so madly in love with him this whole time, but he had this problem, just like Khloe saw an intervention," Bass explained, adding that he hopes Odom will change paths going forward and stop abusing drugs.

"Hopefully, this is the last straw that is going to stop everything. Then, if he makes it and he comes out of this, he's going to change a lot of lives out there and save a lot of lives. I have a feeling he's going to really stay clean and really spread the message of living a sober life."
A source told the magazine this past weekend Odom is doing "much better" but his progress is "little by little."
