Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and his professional partner Lindsay Arnold are dishing on their Dancing with the Stars: Athletes experience this spring.

Despite landing at the bottom of the judges' leaderboard two weeks in a row, Kareem revealed Tuesday on Good Morning America he is proud of his time on Dancing with the Stars: Athletes.

"Lindsay did such a great job preparing me," Kareem said of their salsa on Monday night that received 26 out of 40 points from Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman as well as guest judge Rashad Jennings.
"I thought we executed it pretty well and I just was hoping my father, wherever he is, was looking down because he always enjoyed dancing and the music, so I'm sure he participated wherever he was."
One surprise of the night was when Lindsay, standing 5'4", decided to sit on DWTS Troupe member Hayley Erbert's shoulders so Kareem, who is 7'2", would have a dance partner closer to his height.
"We could not have done it without Hayley, our incredible Troupe dancer. But it was so fun!" Lindsay explained on GMA.
"I thought it would only be fair for Kareem to finally have a dance partner his size, and it was so much fun. I'm so grateful that we were able to do that because it was something really fun and something nobody's done on the show before. So it was exciting."
In a Tuesday Instagram post, Lindsay also said she's "so unbelievably proud" of the former NBA star and it was "truly an honor" to get to know him.
"Thank you for working so hard and giving me everything you had each week!! You are and always will be a legend!!" Lindsay added.
While Kareem and Lindsay had to say their goodbyes on Monday night's show, Olympic figure skaters Adam Rippon and Mirai Nagasu rose to the top of the pack.
The Olympic pals tied for first place on the judges' leaderboard, and Kareem apparently believes their graceful moves on the ice definitely translate to the ballroom's dance floor.

"I expect they will execute," Kareem said of Adam and Mirai's potential on Dancing with the Stars.
"[They've] got great presence on the dance floor and their execution of all the moves was impeccable, and I think they're going to go on and push into the end."
Kareem and Lindsay also participated in a tennis-themed Team Dance for which they received 33 out of 40 additional judges' points on Monday night.

Next week, three couples will be sadly be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars: Athletes, and former DWTS finalist David Ross will serve as a guest judge alongside regular judges Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Len Goodman.
