Karina Smirnoff admits she's seeking professional help following a bad string of failed relationships.

The pro dancer known for her many years competing on Dancing with the Stars has revealed she desperately wants a husband and a child, or two, but her vision for the future casts a dark cloud on trying to live in the moment, People reported.

"I think we can all solidly agree, without a doubt, that [it hasn't been a] good life with men," Smirnoff, 37, told People after all three of her engagements were called off with the latest being Jason Adelman.

"I'm in therapy now. I've gotten to the point where it's not embarrassing. I need therapy. I need to fix myself. I need to figure out what I do to get myself in these situations because I don't think I can have another heartbreak. I can't go through it again and stay sane and stay normal."

Smirnoff insisted, however, the problem is not that she chooses the wrong men.

"That has nothing to do with it. I'm at the place in my life that I want to be a mom more than anything and I want to be a wife. I want to live for another human being and give that little guy or girl everything I have," she explained.

"But sometimes the desire becomes bigger than living in the moment and realizing what is happening, learning from my mistakes and seeing the red flags."

In addition to Adelman, Smirnoff was previously engaged to MLB pitcher Brad Penny and fellow Dancing with the Stars alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Her recent split from Adelman was apparently the hardest though, convincing Smirnoff she needs to make a change.

Smirnoff joined the Dancing with the Stars cast for its third edition, appearing in 16 seasons total up through the end of Season 19. She took a break in Season 10 and is not participating in the show's currently-airing twentieth season.

The Greek and Russian beauty won DWTS' thirteenth season with J.R. Martinez. She also placed second in the competition with Mario Lopez in Season 3 and with Corbin Bleu in Season 17.
