Kat Von D is challenging TLC's announcement that the network decided to end her LA Ink reality series.

"I love how me deciding to not continue doing LA Ink, turns into being 'cancelled.' Thanks TLC. Regardless of everything I remain grateful," Von D wrote on her Twitter account Thursday afternoon.
"Please standby for a more in depth, more honest statement regarding LA Ink."
TLC had announced it "decided" to end LA Ink with its fourth-season finale, which will air September 15, earlier on Thursday.
"TLC has decided that the current season of LA Ink will be its last," the network said in a media statement.
LA Ink's remaining fourth-season episodes began airing on TLC on July 28 -- only days after Von D and fiance Jesse James announced they had ended their high-profile engagement and split.
However, given the episodes were filmed earlier, they have continued to show Von D and James -- who unexpectedly announced their re-engagement yesterday -- prior to their break-up.
In her "in depth" follow-up statement, Von D accused TLC of re-editing LA Ink's fourth-season episodes to show "events that didn't happen while filming."
"In an effort to capitalize on my recent breakup, the network has decided to focus their energy on re-editing events that didn't happen while filming," the tattoo artist told People.
"I have no regrets and am very proud of the original footage. In my opinion, any attempt to compromise the honesty of that would be an insult to my fans and viewers."
Von D admitted that while she is thankful for what the show has done for her, she is also ready to move forward in her career.
"As grateful as I am to have been a part of a show like LA Ink, I'm ready to end this chapter and want to focus on other projects now," she added.
