Kate Gosselin and ex-husband Jon Gosselin have been going back and forth in the press for months about what they believe is good for or harmful to their children, but their twin teenage girls Mady and Cara have minds of their own and are ready to express their opinions.

Mady and Cara, now both 13-years-old, called their mother Kate "annoying" but also insisted starring on a reality TV show for so long did not affect their development socially or emotionally, People reported.
"People expect us to be damaged," Cara told the magazine.
"People think we're supposed to be messed up, like, 'Oooooh, the poor Gosselin kids, they're going to be scarred for life, waaaaah,'" added Mady. "Here's the big news: we're not messed up."
Mady and Cara are the older sisters of nine-year-old sextuplets. Their father Jon has been quoted saying Kate exploits the children and having them star on reality shows for years deprived them of a normal life and resulted in developmental issues. All the while, Kate has claimed her children are just fine, and in fact, growing up beautifully.

Jon also noted late last year it's "a shame" he and Kate have such different parenting styles.
TLC announced it was canceling Kate Plus 8 -- which began as Jon & Kate Plus 8 in 2007 before being relaunched as Kate Plus 8 in 2010 following her 2009 divorce from Jon -- in August 2011.
