Kate Sisk and Luke Cuccurullo - Season 8

Final Decision: Split

Current Status: Divorced

Lifetime

Kate Sisk and Luke Cuccurullo from the Philadelphia area appeared on Season 8 of Married at First Sight in 2019.

Upon meeting at the altar, Luke recognized Kate from a speed-dating event he hosted and unfortunately wasn't attracted to her.

Luke's lack of attraction was a theme that ran through the entire season, as Kate -- who genuinely liked Luke -- often felt unwanted, undesired and certainly unloved.

Although Luke insisted he cared about Kate and wanted to work on their marriage, his actions tended to speak differently.

For instance, the pair was sleeping together since their honeymoon but Luke wanted their sex life to be a secret. He also told his wife he felt "repulsed" and "dead inside" following their first time.

It therefore wasn't a surprise when both individuals chose to get a divorce on "Decision Day."

Their split seemed amicable, but Kate was clearly hurt following seven weeks of an emotional rollercoaster ride.

During Married at First Sight's Season 8 reunion show which aired on Lifetime in April 2019, Kate revealed she was dating again and had been seeing a new guy for two months.

"It's going great! We like each other a lot. [Married at First Sight star Jasmine McGriff] has met him too. He's a teacher and a writer. He's very handsome and genuine," Kate gushed.

However shortly after the reunion show aired, Kate took to Instagram and revealed the new romance had crumbled shortly after she had filmed the reunion special.

"About a week after 'Decision Day,' a guy I had known for a few years messaged me and he asked if I wanted to get together and catch up," Kate shared.

"So two months in is the time when you start to think about, 'Can I see myself with this person forever?,'" she continued.

"[So] we had a talk and I was still married, technically, at the time, and I had one week of processing time. He also had just gotten out of a few-years relationship, and we just decided to go our separate ways."

Kate, however, urged her followers not to be sad for her.

"I think the time spent after a breakup is so important for a person to process what happened in the relationship, get to know themselves better, and get to know what they're looking for in their next [one]," Kate reasoned.

In May 2019, Kate donated the wedding dress she wore for her MAFS wedding to Luke to charity.

Based on her recent social-media postings, Kate appears to still be single.

However, Luke has since moved on to another relationship.  In October 2020, he debuted his new girlfriend Sammi Di Giacinto to the world on Instagram.

"Sunshine and smiles," Luke captioned a photo of the couple, who were both rocking the exact same bleach-blonde, pixie-cut hairstyle at the time. "#twinning #smiles #sunshine #happy #nofilter."

Comments from supportive fans -- mixed in with some haters -- poured into the comments section.

"Are you guys together?" one girl asked.

"Yes," Luke replied.

"Awww that's cute," the same girl responded. "Even though you're my crush, I'm still happy for you."
