Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy may no longer be able to keep up the tiring charade that they're just lifelong best friends.

While the couple kept insisting they were simply friends and dodging dating rumors during their stint on the most recent Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars edition, Monaco is at least admitting to close friends now that she's dating Chmerkovskiy and their feelings for one another are strong, In Touch Weekly reported.

"She's ended things with her old boyfriend [actor Heath Freeman]. She's telling all her friends that she and Val are in love," a source told In Touch.

During a December appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, the pair evasively discussed their obvious connection.

"The word on the street is that you guys are very affectionate and perhaps it's more than just dancing between the two of you," host Wendy Williams asked the couple, who even shared a kiss onstage during the semifinals. "Are you guys a couple?"

"We've been dancing together, so yeah, we're a dancing couple," Chmerkovskiy slyly replied.

"You know what? We had our moments where we did not get along," Monaco, a 36-year-old soap star, explained. "They just cut it and edit to the way where you just saw the good stuff I guess."

Monaco and the 26-year-old professional dancer, who finished in third place during Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars, similarly dodged questions about their relationship when the show's co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet asked about it during the November finale broadcast.

"I hope everybody could have friendships like this. I mean, this is what it is. It's the foundation of an amazing friendship," Monaco told Burke-Charvet.
