Kendall Jenner recently took a turn behind the camera to photograph Kaia Gerber.
The 20-year-old model styled and shot Gerber, Cindy Crawford's 14-year-old daughter, for the new issue of Love magazine.
Gerber appears in a feature called "American Beauties."
"Kaia photographed by me for Love magazine," Jenner captioned one image on Instagram. Gerber shared the same shot, writing, "Me by kendall for @thelovemagazine."
The issue marks Jenner's first-ever magazine spread as a photographer. Gerber said in the accompanying article that "working with Kendall was effortless."
"It just felt like two friends hanging out, snapping a few photos at candid moments," she said.
"Kendall told me that my mom is one of the people she looks up to most, and it's cool to see it come full circle because Kendall is that role model for me."
Crawford discussed Jenner and other young models in May following Rebecca Romijn's criticism of Instagram-famous models.
Jenner and many of her peers are known as much for their millions of followers as they are for their work.
"I'm so jealous, because I feel they have this direct way to communicate with their audience that my generation didn't have," Crawford told Cosmopolitan.
"I think it's a responsibility, but it's also a great tool, because they really can be their own publicists," she explained. "They can present themselves the way that they want to be presented."
Jenner is known for her modeling work with Chanel and Balmain. She also continues to star on her family's E! series, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," which airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
