The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has received a mix of support and criticism for recently choosing to bare her naked body for Paper, whose goal was to "break the Internet." Much of the backlash has focused on the fact Kardashian is a mother now and may be setting a bad example for young girls.
"As a role model, I'm not saying anyone else should do that, but for me it was an art project and it taught me to do what you want to do," the 34-year-old reality TV star reportedly continued.
"I'm never one to preach, but I felt really positive and really good about myself. I love the photos, I did it for me, I hope other people like them."
The Paper photos leave nothing to the imagination, and one of the more talked-about images features Kardashian balancing a champagne glass on her butt while spraying a bottle of champagne over her head and into the glass.
When The Project host Rove McManus asked Kardashian whether the glass was photoshopped on her rear end, she insisted it was not.
"My back hurt for about a week after that shoot... I used muscles," Kardashian explained with a laugh. "[Goude] has an art of posing you and it was definitely not comfortable."
Kardashian also tried to teach McManus how to balance a champagne glass on his own butt, according to Us, but he couldn't pull it off.
"You don't have as big a butt as I do, so...," Kardashian told him after numerous failed attempts.
Kardashian has a 17-month-old daughter North West and is married to rapper Kanye West, 37.
