Kim Kardashian believes her Paris robbery was "meant to happen."
"I know this sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me. I don't want to start crying, but I know that was so meant to happen," Kardashian told DeGeneres through tears. "I'm such a different person."
"I really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things," she explained.
"I was definitely materialistic before, not that there's anything bad with having things and working hard to get those things ... But I'm so happy that my kids get this me and that this is who I'm raising my kids [to be]."
"I don't care about that stuff anymore," the star said of her material wealth. "I don't care to show off the way that I used to. Truly, it's okay if you're proud of that and you work so hard and you get something. It's just not who I am anymore."Kardashian was robbed of her cell phone and millions of dollars worth of jewelry Oct. 2 in Paris.
She said on the March 19 episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" that she expected to be raped and killed during the incident.
Kardashian told DeGeneres she "100 percent" thought she was going to die during the robbery, and that her final prayer was for her husband, Kanye West, and children.
She and West married in 2014, and share 3-year-old daughter North and 16-month-old son Saint.
