Kim Kardashian is to present a 22-carat diamond ring to two people deemed the "world's best couple," organizers of the New York event said.
The as-yet unnamed recipients of the princess-cut gem are the winners of jeweler Michael Hill's "Ultimate Engagement Ring Search for the World's Best Couple."
Thousands of couples from the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand competed via a series of online challenges over a six-week period as part of the contest, representatives for the jewelry giant said in a news release. Judging the competition were Hill, "Sex and the City" author Candace Bushnell, author and television reporter Kathryn Eisman, former district attorney and television's Judge Jeanine Pirro.
"I am really excited about meeting the world's best couple, having launched the search six weeks ago and being lucky enough to wear the prize diamond ring it will be great to pass the prize on to the world's most romantic couple," Kardashian said in a statement Monday.
