Kim Kardashian has slammed "The Wall Street Journal" in a new ad published in "The New York Times" calling for recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
"When I heard about this full-page ad that ran in the Wall Street Journal denying the Armenian genocide, I couldn't just brush it off," she continued.
"For the Wall Street Journal to publish something like this is reckless, upsetting and dangerous It's one thing when a crappy tabloid profits from a made-up scandal, but for a trusted publication like WSJ to profit from genocide - it's shameful and unacceptable."
"If this had been an ad denying the Holocaust, or pushing some 9/11 conspiracy theory, would it have made it to print?" Kardashian pointed out.
The original April 20 ad for an organization named Fact Check Armenia, featured the words "Truth = Peace" alongside a hand showing the peace sign and the Turkish flag. The Armenian Genocide refers to the roughly 1.5 million Armenians who were expelled from Ottoman Turkey and subsequently killed between 1915 and 1917.
Armenians recognize the event as a genocide while Turkey, Australia and the United States do not.
Kardashian, along with other members of her family, notably visited a memorial to the victims in Yerevan back in April of 2015.
