Kim Richards was sentenced in her Target shoplifting case this week.
The 51-year-old reality star received three years probation, 300 hours of community service and 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for attempting to steal over $600 worth of merchandise in August.
Richards received an identical sentence in September for her April public intoxication arrest.
The judge ruled she will only have to complete her community service hours and A.A. meetings once.
"At the moment, Kim seems to be doing OK," a source told E! News.
"She's trying to get some projects off the ground ... Her relationship with [sister] Kyle is better. At one point, things really weren't good. But they're better now. Family is family."
Richards has struggled with alcohol abuse for years, but recently told former "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hill"s co-star Brandi Glanville she is "enjoying life" since her return to sobriety.
The star said she stays focused by living in the present, not the past.
Richards came to fame as a child actress in such films as "Escape to Witch Mountain" and "No Deposit, No Return." She has since starred on five seasons of "The Real Housewives," but won't appear on Season 6 due to her personal issues.
