FOX has announced that Kimberley Locke will return to the American Idol stage on Wednesday, March 24 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) to perform her new single "8th World Wonder," which debuted last week at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Single Sales chart.

In addition to Locke's performance, American Idol's Wednesday addition will see another contestant sent home, ending his or her quest for the American Idol title and cutting the number of remaining competitors to ten.
Unfortunately for Locke, given that her roommate Clay Aiken's new "The Way" single was released last week, her stay at the top is likely to be a short one, as Aiken's single is widely expected to displace Locke's "8th World Wonder" when this week's rankings are released.
American Idol ranks as the No. 1 program of the season among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers.
Five-time Emmy Award-nominee American Idol was created by Simon Fuller of 19TV and developed by FremantleMedia. Executive producers are Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe for 19TV and Cecile Frot-Coutaz and Ken Warwick for FremantleMedia North America. 19 also manages such leading musical artists as Annie Lennox, Will Young, Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken.
