"She knows being with [Laura] is what's in their best interest," the Kardashian pal said. "There's no turning back now and she is going full steam ahead with figuring out an agreement."
Kardashian, 36, first started exploring her legal options over Fourth of July weekend when Disick, 32, was caught partying with his 25-year-old ex-girlfriend Chloe Bartoli in Monte Carlo. She reportedly sought Wasser out again on Monday when visiting the attorney's Hollywood office building.
Wasser has worked for Kardashian's sisters Kim and Khloe when they went through divorces of their own.
Kardashian and Disick, who dated for over nine years, share three young children: Mason, 5, Penelope, 3, and Reign, 7 months. Sources told the magazine Kardashian's main goal is to protect her kids from Disick's harmful and inconsistent behavior, however, no formal custody arrangement has been reached.
"Scott's friends don't think he'll challenge Kourtney," an insider told Us, adding that the self-proclaimed Lord "doesn't act like a dad at all when he's partying."
Disick was recently spotted taking Mason out to dinner in Calabasas and buying him toys from Barnes and Noble.
According to a People source, Kardashian is having a really tough time with her break-up even though she appears to be happy and busy on social media.
"Kourtney is miserable at the moment, so miserable," the source said.
