Tommy Johnagin finished as the runner-up in the seventh-season competition, which determined its winner based on the results of home viewer voting that followed last week's broadcast that featured stand-up performances from the season's Top 5 finalists.
Finalists Roy Wood Jr., Mike DeStefano and Myq Kaplan finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
In addition to revealing the results of last week's voting, Last Comic Standing's two-hour finale also featured stand-up performances from Esparza and Johnagin; seventh-season judges Natasha Leggero, Greg Giraldo and Andy Kindler; sixth-season champion Iliza Shlesinger, The Marriage Ref host Tom Papa, and Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List star Kathy Griffin.
As Last Comic Standing's seventh-season winner, Esparza will receive a $250,000 prize and an exclusive NBC talent deal.
