Last Comic Standing crowned Clayton English its ninth-season champion during Wednesday night's finale broadcast on NBC.

"I just won Last Comic Standing. It's an amazing feeling. I can't describe this feeling right now. I'm the last comic standing. I was happy to be in the Top 5, period, but this just put me so much further than I could even imagine," English said after his victory was declared.
For winning Last Comic Standing, English walked away with the grand prize of $250,000 and a development deal for his own show on NBC.
English's final standup comedy routine was superior to his four fellow competitors -- Ian Bagg from Terrace, Canada; Dominique from Washington, D.C.; Andy Erikson from Ham Lake, MN; and Michael Palascak from Wabash, IN.
English had the studio audience roaring with laughter and applause by poking fun at "how an African talks" and "cougar slang."
Barr told English he has a lot of heart and love, while Macdonald said he had no critiques for the comic because he just sat back and enjoyed his set. Macdonald also pointed out he loves the way English paces onstage when performing as if he's in a boxing match. Wayans told English he always changes the energy in the room for the better.
According to NBC, English has been doing standup comedy for seven years. He's also an actor who has appeared in Tyler Perry's House of Payne, The Preacher's Kid, Five Days in the A and Hell Date.
English revealed on the Today show on Thursday his plan for the near future is to go on tour with his act.
