An advance clip of the finale released online prior to Monday night's episode in which Ben's mom Amy Higgins admitted she'd pick JoJo for her son after meeting the Final 2 bachelorettes. Amy said JoJo was "way more my style" than Lauren, and if Ben's decision depended on her opinion because he was so torn, she'd go with JoJo. However, the scene was never edited into the finale.

"I did see it," Lauren told reporters during a post-finale conference call of the footage.

"At first, it's kind of strange to watch, but then you have to remember that that happened long enough ago where now our relationship is in a totally different place. Ben's whole family has done nothing but accept me, you know, as a daughter now into their family!"

Lauren reciprocates such warm feelings toward Amy and David Higgins now.

"And I consider them parents too," the bubbly flight attendant continued, "so I just kind of realized that that was in the past and I've felt nothing but love and acceptance since then."

Ben also commented on the issue, reiterating the fact his parents thought both JoJo and Lauren were fantastic and ideal matches for him.

"Well, that was a really difficult day for my family to meet these two women, so you know, the women came to their home and they both were great. My parents enjoyed them both, and I think -- I've seen the episode that aired [Monday] and I think that's very accurate to how I felt about the situation, was I think everybody was just kind of like, 'Yeah, we agree, they are great women. And you have a really tough decision to make,'" Ben explained.
