Messer revealed the news to her mother over the phone while in rehab during a preview clip for Teen Mom 2's Thursday night episode obtained by Us Weekly.
"I had court. I had to go, like, talk on the phone," Messer explained to her mom in the video. "But our divorce is final. With Jeremy and I, just like, something just didn't feel right. And I stayed because I didn't want the embarrassment of another divorce. But you know what, I'm letting it go."
Messer, 23, checked into a rehab facility back in June for 30 days of treatment. Although rumors circulated she abused pills, Us had reported she struggled with constant negativity surrounding her in the media, depression and stress-related problems.
"I'm really getting a lot figured out here," Messer continued on the phone. "I'm learning so many coping skills. I'm actually glad I did this. Maybe the hardest thing I've ever done in my life."

In Touch Weekly reported in April that Calvert had slapped Messer with divorce papers after three years of marriage in Roane County, WV, where the couple lived together.
Messer and her first ex-husband Corey Simms wed in October 2010 after welcoming twins Aliannah and Aleeah, now five-years-old, but Messer reportedly cheated on him with her a former flame one week before they exchanged vows. The news prompted Simms to file for divorce less than six months later in April 2011.
Messer married Calvert in April 2012 and gave birth to their daughter Adalynn Faith in February 2013. As of late last year, Calvert had been accusing the reality TV star of being unfaithful. He reportedly thought Messer was cheating on him with her ex Robbie Kidd.
"She kept admitting to more things she did wrong," an insider told Us at the time. "She pushed him over the edge."
Teen Mom 2 airs on Thursday nights at 10PM ET/PT on MTV.
