Harvey Weinstein's Project Runway premiere announcement was apparently premature.

"It will be on Lifetime [on] August 15," said Weinstein, the CEO of Project Runway's The Weinstein Company production company, during an interview earlier this month on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show.
In addition to announcing Project Runway's official sixth-season premiere, Lifetime also confirmed that Project Runway's new Models of the Runway spinoff will air on Thursdays at 11PM ET/PT beginning August 20.
Models of the Runway will provide viewers a look at Project Runway through the eyes of the models who participate in it, as the models will also face weekly eliminations while competing for a cash prize and photo spread in Marie Claire magazine.
Earlier this month, Bravo's NBC Universal parent company, The Weinstein Company, and Lifetime Networks announced that the legal dispute surrounding the rights to Project Runway had been resolved.
However despite the settlement, Lifetime didn't announce an exact premiere date for the show and only stated that it would premiere sometime this summer.
The premiere announcement comes more than a year after Lifetime Networks and The Weinstein Company first announced their five-year, 10-season deal to bring Project Runway to Lifetime from Bravo beginning with the reality series' sixth season.

"The talent in this all-new season is nothing short of amazing, and I can't wait for all of the fans to see the incredible work of these brilliant designers."
The Real World's Bunim-Murray Productions production company produced Project Runway's sixth season, which was filmed in Los Angeles last year. Despite the show's uncertain fate, the producers still filmed its finale at New York Fashion Week in February.
Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz and their Magical Elves production company had announced in May that they would not follow the show to Lifetime after having previously produced all of Project Runway's Bravo editions for The Weinstein Company.
