Lindsay Yenter finished as the runner-up during Sean Lowe's The Bachelor season, which just concluded Monday night and ended with its star selecting and proposing to Catherine Giudici.

During a Tuesday conference call with reporters, Lindsay talked to Reality TV World about her The Bachelor elimination and her plans for the near future.

Reality TV World: Were you offered the position of The Bachelorette and turned it down, or were you not approached at all? Or had they approached you but decided on Desiree Hartsock instead?
Lindsay Yenter: I was not approached.
Reality TV World: Did that upset you at all? Were you a little disheartened because of that?
Lindsay Yenter: No, not at all. I think that the producers and I were on the same page that this was a great experience being on The Bachelor, but I just really want a normal life and I love teaching and I love normal (laughs) -- the normal stuff. I'm not really looking to be on another TV show.
Reality TV World: When you asked Sean when he realized Catherine was the one for him during After the Final Rose, he said he realized it during his last one-on-one date with her -- which came right after your last one-on-one with him where he had said he thought you were the one. So this may sound a little silly, but have you ever wondered if things would've ended up differently had you been the second date and the one able to make the last impression on him?
Lindsay Yenter: Would things have ended up different? Ugh, you know, you can sit there and play the "what if" game, but I'm honestly thankful for the way that it ended. I think that it all worked out the best because I'm just extremely happy and I know that they're happy too.
Reality TV World: On the show, it seemed like your No. 1 priority was eventually moving to Dallas with Sean and starting a life and a family with him. But now it kind of sounds like you're saying that you love your teaching position and where you're at right now. So did you have a little bit of a change of heart or has your perspective changed on what you want in the near future now?
Lindsay Yenter: I think that it's important to find your career and work in your field while you can. I would eventually like to be a stay-at-home mom, so I definitely want to get a couple years of work in and just focus on my future and focus on becoming more and more of who I want to be. And I think working in your field and doing what you love is a great way to do that.
Reality TV World: In your final words, you said, "I felt it 100 times. I feel like an idiot once again. I fell in love and they don't want a future with you." Do you mind elaborating on that a little bit more? It sounds like you had many relationships in which you fell in love with a guy and he didn't feel the same way or broke your heart.

Lindsay Yenter: I have had a couple relationships where I gave my heart to them and they were too young to settle down. So it's hard when you don't want a future, because you know, they're young and they still want to be boys. So, (laughs) I think every girl can relate to that any time you have your heart broken. It's hard to realize that they don't want a future with you.
Reality TV World: Lindsay, I heard you say earlier in the call that it was nice to finally hear Sean said he did love you, but did that make your elimination even harder knowing that he felt that strongly for you but was still letting you go?
Lindsay Yenter: No, it actually helped me because it made me realize that -- because he was so loving and kind and he was such a great boyfriend, and it was nice to know that those feelings were sincere and that he did love me. He just wasn't in love with me.
Reality TV World: I wanted to get your thoughts on the awkward exchange between Sean and AshLee Frazier during The Women Tell All in which she claimed that Sean said he didn't have feelings for either you or Catherine during their overnight date together. What's your reaction to that and is there a part of you that thinks maybe he did say something a little misleading like that or do you believe Sean would never say anything like that?
Lindsay Yenter: I think that it's easy for somebody to maybe get, I don't know. I don't really want to answer that question. (Laughs)
