Lionel Richie isn't exactly excited his daughter, 19-year-old Sofia Richie, is dating Kourtney Kardashian's ex Scott Disick.

"Have I been in shock?! I'm the dad, come on," Lionel shared on Wednesday during Idol auditions in New York.
When asked whether the iconic singer and songwriter was happy for the new Instagram-official couple, Lionel confessed, "I'm scared to death, are you kidding me?"
Rumors Sofia and Scott were hooking up sparked in May when the pair was spotted getting flirty aboard a yacht in the south of France as the self-declared "Lord" celebrated his birthday. Dating rumors were fueled the following month when the couple walked arm-in-arm, heading to a restaurant for dinner.
But the romance reportedly took a serious turn in September, with an Us source revealing at the time: "Things became official over the past week while they were in New York City together."
On September 23, Scott and the young model were photographed embracing while aboard a boat, and that same day, both individuals made their relationship official on social media by posting intimate photos in which they were snuggling up to each other in Miami, FL.
The twosome later jetted off to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on October 2, according to Us, where they were seen packing on the PDA once again while riding jet skis.
Other than having flings with several women, Scott -- who often appears on Keeping Up with the Kardashians -- dated Kourtney on and off for nearly a decade.
Meanwhile, Kourtney -- who shares kids Mason, 7, Penelope, 5, and Reign, 2 with Scott -- is currently dating model and former boxer Younes Bendjima, 24.
"Kourtney thinks this fling with Sofia is a little weird, but nothing shocks her anymore," an insider told the magazine after news of Scott and Sofia's hookup became public. "Kourtney just wants Scott to be his old self. She shares three kids with him, so she'll always want the best for him and will always make sure he's happy."
