The baby reportedly wasn't planned, as D'Amato said the couple had been using birth control.
"My pregnancy has been a complete nightmare, to be honest," D'Amato, who is currently five months pregnant, told E! News. "I can't believe women do this on the daily! I haven't been bedridden or anything, but nausea all day everyday and only starchy fatty foods help it subside."
Despite her growing baby bump, D'Amato said she's still hitting the gym so she doesn't "turn into a Cinnabon and can hopefully be a MILF in a month's time."
"My nausea has subsided a lot the last couple weeks so I feel a bit more in control but pregnancy is a bitch! Also, it seems everyone is pregnant these days. The stork is drunk! Someone needs to tell him to go to bed."
D'Amato, who was the technical seventeenth-season winner of Top Model, wed Friedman in late September. The reality TV star also competed on America's Next Top Model's fifth season in 2005 and finished sixth. She subsequently appeared on the third season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew in 2010.
In late January, D'Amato told People she was planning to embark on a belated honeymoon with Friedman and had begun taping a television pilot.
