TLC has announced Little People, Big World's third season, which will begin with three episodes focused on family patriarch Matt Roloff's recent drunk-driving trial, will premiere with back-to-back half-hour episodes on Monday, March 3 at 8PM ET/PT.

Roloff was arrested last June after a deputy followed his vehicle leaving a bar and stopped him for failing to drive within his designated lane. Roloff was driving through an unincorporated area of Washington County, OR at the time of his traffic stop, and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants. He pleaded not guilty in July.
Last month, Washington County Circuit Judge Donald R. Letourneau found Roloff not guilty of drunken driving in a bizarre trial that saw its six-man misdemeanor jury disobey Letourneau's order to not seek out additional information on the case.
While Roloff could have sought a mistrial due to the jury's misconduct, his defense attorney Robert Thuemmel instead asked the jury be dismissed and Letourneau hand down the verdict.
Little People, Big World's third season will begin with Roloff learning the date for his DUI trial while working to prepare his defense with his wife Amy -- who also has dwarfism along with their son Zach. The second episode broadcast will cover the January trial commencing, including footage of the prosecution presenting its case and the arresting officer testifying against Matt while also being cross-examined by Matt's attorney.

The trial's conclusion will then air on Monday, March 10 at 8PM ET/PT, with Matt taking the stand and the verdict being delivered.
In addition, Little People, Big World's 20-episode third-season will focus on Matt and Amy's twentieth wedding anniversary; Zach's new average-height girlfriend; Matt and Amy's cruise during the start of their 34-acre Helvetia, OR farm's critical pumpkin season; and the continuation of various projects around the Roloff residence.
Little People, Big World first premiered on TLC in March 2006.
