"D'Angelo and Amanda, Paula said you were 'Unbelievable' and you 'Nailed it.' Kimberly agreed saying you 'Danced like professionals.' Well that's what the experts thought, but when America voted, one of those acts was the clear winner. Moving one step closer to the half a million dollar prize is D'Angelo and Amanda!" Andrew revealed.
Live To Dance's broadcast then featured the second round of semifinalist performances as six of the 12 remaining acts performed live on the stage as they competed for two spots -- one chosen by the judges, and one by the votes cast by home viewers after Wednesday night's episode -- in the competition's final round.
The act chosen by home viewers will be revealed during next Wednesday's live show, and the two acts that advanced from this week's semifinals round will then return to compete in the Live To Dance final round in two weeks.
The six acts who performed Wednesday night were: Jalen Testerman, a nine-year-old from Seattle, WA; Dance In Flight, a coed pair from Los Angeles, CA; Twitch, a nine-member teen act from FL; Du-Shaunt Stegall, a 16-year-old from Las Vegas, NV; Dax Hock, a 29-year-old from Los Angeles, CA, and Sarah Breck, a 23-year-old also from Los Angeles, CA; and White Tree Fine Art, a coed duo from San Francisco, CA.
Live To Dance's expert judges Paula Abdul, Travis Payne and Kimberly Wyatt picked White Tree Fine Art -- the act that had secured the 18th and final spot in the semifinals after they received the most home viewers' votes following a dance-off during the show's first live broadcast two weeks ago -- to advance to the finals out of the six acts who performed, leaving the home viewers to decide which of the five other acts will be the second group to advance.
"This week has been very difficult. It's not a unanimous decision here. We had to take all things into consideration and the act that we're putting through to the finals this week is White Tree Fine Art," Paula said.
Next week's Live To Dance broadcast will feature the last remaining six semifinalist acts performing and air Wednesday, January 26 at 8PM ET/PT.
