Love After Lockup: Life After Lockup's first season will consist of eight one-hour episodes and follow five couples who appeared on Love After Lockup's first two seasons as they continue to make the complicated transition to love in the real world with a partner who has recently been released from prison.
The couples who will star on the spinoff are Clint and Tracie; Marcelino and Brittany; the love triangle of Megan, Michael, and Sarah; Scott and Lizzie; and Andrea and Lamar.
Former inmates Tracie, Brittany, Michael, Lizzie and Lamar will be shown facing new challenges -- from raising children and buying first homes to finding work and trying to stay sober.
All the while, the former inmates must live under the restrictions of parole and deal with the stresses and occasional turmoil of their new relationships.
"The verdict is in -- our viewers can't get enough of Love After Lockup. There was an outpouring of interest from fans who were eager to keep following these unforgettable couples, making it an easy decision to expand this burgeoning franchise with an all-new series," WE tv President Marc Juris said in a statement.
"Love After Lockup was a legitimate reality sensation, and Love After Lockup: Life After Lockup will be a must-watch for the show's passionate fans."

Season 2 of Love After Lockup finished airing on WE tv earlier this year, but the network announced in January that it was expanding the season to include 10 additional episodes that would feature new couples. A premiere date for the additional episodes, however, has yet to be announced.
When Season 2 ended, Clint and Tracie planned to renew their wedding vows in front of family and friends.

Marcelino and Brittany got married and eventually welcomed a baby girl whom they named Zoila. They were also in the process of moving into a new home in Las Vegas.
Michael found himself back in jail and in an intense love triangle between his wife Sarah and girlfriend Megan.
The girls found out about each other after Michael was arrested for violating his parole, but Megan kept in touch with Michael -- who hoped to fix things after Sarah insisted she was done with her husband.
Scott and Lizzie called it quits on their engagement after Lizzie discovered Scott had gone broke buying her things and had lied to her about his financial issues.
Scott moved on with a woman named Jasmine, which Lizzie wasn't happy about. Lizzie, however, began living an independent life with her daughter.

And going back to Season 1, the show ended with Andrea and Lamar's wedding and they are apparently still married, although In Touch Weekly reported Lamar violated the rules of his parole and was put back in prison.
Love After Lockup: Life After Lockup is being produced by Sharp Entertainment, with Matt Sharp, Dan Adler, Alan Madison, Sophie Mallam, Lauren P. Gellert, and Kate Farrell serving as the new spinoff's executive producers.
