Love in the Wild eliminated Tim Parrish and Shauna Dillard during Tuesday night's second episode of the NBC reality dating series, which features singles attempting to find love in the Dominican Republic.

"I feel so... set up. I thought there was a romantic connection on some level. [Summer Mack] blindsided me, but if she's happy choosing the anti-Tim -- which is Ryan Sm.th -- then they're not going to kick as much ass as we did in the challenges. But this isn't the end for me and I think this is the year of the Tim," Tim, a 32-year-old from Green Bay, WI, who currently resides in Chicago, IL, said following his ouster.

"I was here for love. I was here to develop a connection with someone, but I think some people don't know how to handle me, and it's just really upsetting. I think I'm a good person. I think that I have a lot going for me. I am what I am. You either like me or you don't," Shauna, a 28-year-old from Kingsburg, CA, who currently resides in Hollywood, CA, said after she was cut from the competition.

Love in the Wild's second episode began following the eliminations of the seven men cut at the season's first Couples' Choice Ceremony.

Love in the Wild host Jenny McCarthy then met with the remaining seven single men and seven single women who are looking for love while undertaking a series of adventurous activities in the hopes of winning luxurious rewards.

Jenny explained that each man and woman who paired up during last week's episode at the season's first Couples' Choice Ceremony would remain partners for their second jungle adventure and later get the option to stay paired up or change partners based on the order they completed the adventure. The finish order would also decide the overnight accommodations the pairs would enjoy in the days leading up to the next ceremony.

The couples were required to build a net with items scattered across a field -- including their first map -- and carry that net throughout the adventure while gathering other items along the course to the finish line. Each pair was also instructed to go cliff jumping, catch a guinea fowl in their net, and then find a tree featuring wooden carvings by using a separate map and a compass.

Kenneth Barrington, a 33-year-old from Peoria, IL, who currently resides in Miami Beach, FL, and Yanina Beccaria, a 33-year-old from Rosario, Argentina, who currently resides in Chicago, IL, were paired up to embark on Love in the Wild's second challenge together.

Aaron "Chase," a 28-year-old from San Diego, CA, who currently resides in Newport Beach, CA, teamed up with Ali Leitza, a 33-year-old from Little Rock, AR, who currently resides in North Little Rock, AR, while Shauna and Ryan, a 27-year-old from Boise, ID, who currently resides in San Francisco, CA, were also a couple.

Jenny Blatt, a 27-year-old from Philadelphia, PA, was ready to take on the next adventure with Benjamin Clark, a 27-year-old from Chesterfield, England, who currently resides in Monroe, NC.

Tara Locke, a 26-year-old from Arlington Heights, IL, who currently resides in Miami Beach, FL, and Jesse Wilson, a 33-year-old from Oakdale, CA, who currently resides in Manhattan Beach, CA, teamed up, while Cina Luks, a 22-year-old from San Lorenzo, CA, competed alongside Jason Ewell, a 25-year-old from Dublin, CA.

Tim was paired up with Summer, a 32-year-old from Satellite Beach, FL, who currently resides in Indian Harbour Beach, FL.

Many of the couples struggled throughout the course. Shauna and Ryan couldn't find their hidden net at the very beginning of the adventure, causing them to fall into last place and fight to gain ground the rest of the way. During the cliff jumping activity, Ali was terrified of heights, but Chase did her a favor and gave her a little push to help her conquer her fears.

However, catching a guinea fowl seemed to be the hardest task of all. With chickens running around and other look-alike animals, many teams didn't even know if they were trying to catch the correct animal at first.

Tara and Jesse took a stab at it and guessed wrong, while Shauna and Ryan had trouble getting one at all. Shauna's teamwork approach ended up rubbing Ryan the wrong way, as he was annoyed and frustrated with how she was constantly yelling at him to do better.

Jenny and Ben had the toughest time of all. Ben joked that he must've caught every animal on the farm besides the guinea fowl they needed, and the couple later said they went at the task for about six hours -- although that statement was most likely an exaggeration, the pair made it clear it seemed to take forever for them to move onto the next task.

Ali and Chase were the first couple to complete the adventure, and they won the right to stay at the luxurious Oasis private villa, as well as an additional reward outing.

They were then followed by Summer and Tim, Tara and Jesse and Cina and Jason. As the second, third and fourth place teams respectively, all three pairs got to stay in private cabins at Love in the Wild's resort complex.

Ken and Yanina finished in fifth place and were followed by Shauna and Ryan in sixth -- forcing both teams to have to stay in tents erected near the private cabins. Jenny and Ben were then the last team to finish, resulting in the couple having to sleep in a crude lean-to shelter which only offered mosquito netting to protect them.

All of the singles then spent the next several days getting to know their partners and other prospective suitors better.

Jenny was really into Ben and wanted to kiss and snuggle with him when they went to bed, but Ben was only willing to give a single kiss. Meanwhile, Tara and Jesse were very attracted to each other and were shown covering themselves completely under the blankets when they were in bed.

Tim admitted he was "digging" Summer, while she thought he was great as well. However, one night, Tim allegedly got drunk and decided to rub some cake in Summer's hair as a funny joke. While he thought it was hilarious because he was also involved in cake fights with other contestants, she didn't find it humorous and went to bed a little angry.

Yanina and Ken's were clicking on both a physical and emotional level, while Ryan and Shauna were doing the complete opposite. Ryan told Shauna he just didn't feel a spark with her and couldn't force a connection just because she had kept him in the competition at the first Couples' Choice Ceremony.

Shauna broke down and cried, but ended up spending a little time with Ben in the hopes he might have mutual interest in her. Ryan got to know Summer a little bit better at the same time.

While everyone was getting to know each other near the cabins, Ali and Chase enjoyed a gondola ride towards the mountains together and a dinner with a lovely view. They seemed to be hitting it off although Ali was constantly being put in the position where she was afraid.

Love in the Wild's second second-season Couples' Choice Ceremony then commenced.

Since Ali and Chase had won the adventure challenge, they were allowed to go first and decide to stay together or pick someone else. Since the women selected the men first during last week's episode, the men got the first say. Chase ended up wanting to stay with Ali, and she agreed. However, if he was to choose another girl, she would be unable to decline his selection due to his first-place finish.

Tim then opted to stay with Summer, but she chose to cut him for Ryan, who had been partnered with Shauna. As a result, Tim was forced to stand in the "unmatched area." Third-place finisher Jesse requested to remain partners with Tara, and she gladly accepted his offer.

Jason then proceeded to keep Cina, who also wanted to stick it out with her man. Ken and Yanina, who came in fifth place, both decided to stay together as well.

Shauna, who didn't have a partner at this point, asked Ben if he'd like to give her a chance in the next adventure. However, Ben declined and chose to keep Jenny as his partner. Finally, Jenny had the choice to dump Ben and select Tim or say goodbye to Tim. Jenny, although taken aback a little by Ben's initial hesitation in debating a switch, opted to stay with Ben.

At the end of the ceremony, Jenny McCarthy had one more twist to announce and then revealed six previously unseen additional women for the men to choose amongst.

The episode concluded with a cliffhanger, however, it's safe to assume the show will adopt a similar format as last week's premiere and allow each man to be partnered up with two females for the next adventure. Each male contestant will most likely have to choose to keep one female partner at the end of next week's broadcast.

Love in the Wild's third second-season episode will air Tuesday, June 19 at 10PM ET/PT on NBC.
