Lyrsa was voted out at Tribal Council on Day 17 after her Jabeni tribe lost the Immunity Challenge.
"Well, they voted me out. I didn't see it coming. They played me good. I am super pissed at [Nick Wilson] because I didn't know he was a flip-flopper. Of course it sucks to lose," Lyrsa said following her Survivor ouster.
During a recent exclusive interview with Reality TV World, Lyrsa talked about her Survivor experience and her tribe's decision to get rid of her right before the merge. Below is the concluding portion of what she had to say.

Reality TV World: Angelina's sneaky vote for you in the hopes of taking Natalie Cole's jacket really rubbed you the wrong way. Was that the moment you realized you couldn't trust Angelina or did you already have issues with her prior to that moment?
Lyrsa Torres: I didn't have any issues with Angelina until that point because as a human, you feel you are valuable. I mean, you are a person; you bring something to the table. And so it dismiss me over a jacket -- I know this sounds so stupid -- but it hurt my feelings and it was the whole thing behind taking my jacket.
If she told me, "Hey, it's you tonight. It's you and it's cold. Can I have your jacket when you leave?..." I probably would have given her the jacket.
It was the point behind it, like, "I want her jacket, let's vote her out and let's make a scene as if something changed for me to get the jacket." It went that far.
If she wanted to ask for the jacket, I'd say, "Yeah, sure, take the jacket. I'm going to be out. What am I going to use the jacket for? So take it, I know it's cold."
So from that moment on, since she wouldn't be honest with me and say, "Hey, I want this," that's what made me not trust her at all.

Reality TV World: You mentioned earlier in the call you have a great relationship with this season's cast of Survivor. What is your relationship with Natalie like now? Was your experience at Ponderosa as awkward or terrible as you had seemingly anticipated? (Laughs)
Lyrsa Torres: I think my comment was really taken out of context. I was more coming from a place of, "I'm going somewhere now where everybody hates me and it's going to be uncomfortable because I lasted longer and had a say of them not being in the game."
So it was more of that. I talked to Natalie. I apologized for that comment last night. First of all, I didn't know they were going to [show] that and I didn't even realize it until I was watching it and was like, "Oh my God, I'm going to be next to Natalie and she hates me."
So I talked to her and we're cool. I don't have any bad feelings toward Natalie or anybody in the cast. She's funny, I mean, she has a big personality and that's what makes Natalie, Natalie. If I want people to accept me for who I am, I have to be willing to accept other people for who they are.

Reality TV World: Were you guys expected the merge to come right after that Tribal Council?
Lyrsa Torres: If you're a fan of the show and you have followed the show for years like I have done, you know it's the seventh [person] out and now it's the merge and we're going to merge now. I was really looking forward to the merge because I knew then I'd have survived that vote.
The next day, I was going to see [Elizabeth Olson] and [Gabby Pascuzzi] and we were going to eat and have so much fun and now it's game on! So we knew after that vote it was the merge. And we were always counting the numbers.

Gabby, [Christian Hubicki] and I were always like, "It's Day 3, we're going to have a challenge, and tomorrow we are going to do this and the next day we are going to do this." So we already knew after that vote, it was the merge.
Reality TV World: Do you think it's just a coincidence Jeremy Crawford has been the only man to be voted out of the game so far? What are your thoughts on that?
Lyrsa Torres: I never got to meet Jeremy at all. It wasn't a surprise to me they voted him out, but after seeing what was shown -- and it was edited, so I didn't see the whole thing -- I think for Angelina's game, it was the smartest choice. I don't know!
I think there's a chance a guy survives more in the game because they are viewed as powerful and, "Oh, we can win with them!" So maybe women rely more on having guys because they're stronger a little bit, but it is what it is. You see that the man is more strong than a female, which is so wrong!
It's not what I believe. But it's what most people believe, so it's understandable that out of this whole thing, only Jeremy was voted out. And it wasn't even because he was or was not strong; it's because of some beef they had around. I wasn't there, so I can't comment on that part.

Reality TV World: How were you cast on Survivor? How did you end up on the show?
Lyrsa Torres: This is so funny! I always wanted to apply for the show because I've been watching the show since Season 1, and I always wanted to send my audition, but there was always something happening where I couldn't.
But last year, I was on vacation and I was going to visit my best friend in [Los Angeles], and the day before flying out, I checked the website and I saw that on Tuesday, after me landing in L.A., they were going to have open auditions. So, I called my friend and was like, "Hey, how far is this place from your house?"
And she said, "Like an hour," so I was like, "Okay, you're going to drive me to this place and I'm going to do this. Even if I don't get picked, I have to do this. I mean, it's in my blood."
So I went there and it was so funny because we were speaking Spanish and people were looking at us super weird. You get these two girls with weird hair, a bunch of tattoos and piercings, like, super out-of-the-box. And we never expected to be called -- at all!
When I got that call, I was like, "Oh my gosh, I cannot believe this!" So, it was like the game. It was a chance I took and it came out great. It was the best experience I've ever had in my life and I'm very grateful [casting]... saw something amazing in me and they called me back.

I went there to audition for fun and see if maybe someone likes me, but they liked me and I made the show and I'm so grateful to have had this adventure many people want to have. I'm very, very grateful for that.
