Madison Prewett claims The Bachelor star Peter Weber expressed his love and tried to get back together with her two days before he secretly reunited with Kelley Flanagan, adding that her incredibly close friendship with Kelley is now over and done with.

For almost a month now, Peter has been self-isolating with The Bachelor contestant Kelley Flanagan in her hometown of Chicago, IL, amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Although Peter has revealed he and Kelley aren't dating, he's made it known he'd definitely be open to rekindling their romance in the future.
But according to Madison -- who announced on March 12 that she and Peter had called it quits on their relationship -- Peter definitely wasn't over her when he headed to quarantine with Kelley, who got eliminated on The Bachelor before hometown dates.

"I was definitely hurt and thrown off by that whole situation. I want the best for the both of them, but I definitely was thrown off," Madison, 24, said during a Tuesday appearance on Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe of Peter and Kelley's reunion.
"To be honest, what was really confusing to me is that two days before he was spotted in Chicago, he was calling me and texting me, being like, 'I miss you, let's get back together!' I mean, I think that to me was a little confusing."
Madison revealed the reunion caught her totally "off-guard," as neither Peter or Kelley warned her that they'd be spending time together.
Madison said she found out with the rest of the world when Peter "got caught" and she saw flirty photographs that leaked online, one of which had captured Peter carrying Kelley over his shoulder.
"[Peter] texted me after [the news] had been out for a couple of days. He sent me this long, long text just kind of explaining himself, but not really, and just kind of sharing the current situation or whatever," Madison told former The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe.

"I was very kind back. I was just like, 'Look, this doesn't affect anything for me, like, we went our separate ways, it's not like I lost something here.' But I told him... 'What I'm confused about, Peter, is two days ago, you were telling me how much you loved me and wanted to get back together... It just feels a little hurtful.'"
Madison said what made the situation even worse is that Kelley was her "best friend" on Season 24 of The Bachelor and Peter chose her over anyone else.
"And they did that on my birthday!" Madison added. "When all the pictures got leaked and everything went out, it was on my birthday and he didn't text me on my birthday. She didn't text me on my birthday."
So when texting Peter about his reunion with Kelley, Madison said she also "threw that in there."

"I was like, 'It kind of felt like it was a jab at me to do that on my birthday and to not even like reach out or anything.' It was hurtful," Madison said.
Madison explained she and Kelley were "inseparable throughout the entire process" of The Bachelor, both during and after the show filmed.
"We were best friends, actually... Everyone joked that we were the dynamic duo," Madison said.
"I mean, we really leaned on each other through that entire thing. I remember even when I landed from Australia and got home, she was one of the first people that I called. She was in group messages with me and my family. We were really, really close and talked like 24/7."

Madison quit The Bachelor before the Final Rose Ceremony taped in Australia, so Peter proposed marriage to Hannah Ann Sluss at the end of his season.
However, Peter broke up with Hannah Ann in January because he couldn't give the model his whole heart, which resulted in Peter and Madison reconciling and giving their mutual love another shot on The Bachelor's March 10 finale. But the couple announced their decision to split two days later.
Based on Kelley's actions in recent weeks, Madison said their friendship is over.
"I haven't spoken to her in a really long time. I don't know. I had heard things -- and I even asked Peter about some of the rumors I had been hearing, about him and Kelley while we were still trying to figure our thing out," Madison shared.
Madison said she had heard about Peter and Kelley hanging out, meeting up,and having conversations when the pilot was still with Hannah Ann, and afterwards, when Peter and Madison revived their relationship.
When Madison confronted Peter about such rumors at the time, she recalled, "[Peter]'s answers and [Kelley]'s answers very much contradict the current situation that's happening right now, but it is what it is."
"To me, that was the most hurtful thing, because [Kelley and I] went through so much together... I thought she was going to be in my wedding. I thought we were going to be best friends for life."
The Alabama foster parent recruiter continued, "[Based on things Kelley] had said to me about Peter, and about me and Peter, and about her and Peter, it was really confusing to me when I saw that and I didn't receive any heads up or any sort of text or explanation of why [before news leaked]."

"I'm not saying I necessarily deserve it, but I kind of feel like I do because we were best friends."
Madison, however, attempted to give Peter and Kelley the benefit of the doubt during her podcast interview.

"I think, like, when you break up and you're going through a heartbreak and you just came off a show that was emotionally, physically and every which way exhausting, everybody handles that differently, you know? And everybody leans on different things and treats it differently," Madison reasoned.
Madison said she, for instance, focused on herself and tried to get her heart in the right place so she'll be ready for when her next serious relationship comes along.
"I say this genuinely meaning it: I saw something special in Kelley, that's why she was my best friend. I saw something special in Peter, that's why I loved him and wanted to fight so hard to make the relationship work. So they're obviously both incredible and special people."
"I wish nothing but the best for both of them no matter what that looks like," Madison concluded.
"I know Peter is not my husband and he's not the person I'm supposed to spend my forever with... I know he's not the one for me, and so I wish him all the best."
Although production on The Bachelorette's sixteenth season starring Clare Crawley has yet to begin, The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart is currently airing Monday nights at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
