Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis may not be talking a lot about their relationship on and off Dancing with the Stars, but his brother Val Chmerkovskiy apparently has no such qualms.

"He definitely loves her, and I know she loves him back," Val told Us Weekly on Tuesday at Dancing with the Stars' eighteenth-season finale.
"He loves her probably more than I've seen him love another woman -- he loves and adores her."
Maksim and Meryl had amazing chemistry while competing on the show together, prompting speculation they were or will be romantically involved in some way. Fans were hoping the couple would at least kiss in public or be more open about their feelings for one another, but Val apparently believes that would belittle their bond.
"She was good for him, but I feel it wouldn't do their love justice. One makeout session in the middle of the dance or to label it that they are a couple -- it sounds great, but that's not what it is... it's like a King Kong type of relationship," Val explained.

"She's precious, and he's gentle with her because he wants to see her shine and he won't want to hurt her. He's willing to calm down for her because she's the last person he wants to see cry and the last person he wants to hurt."
That type of love is "bigger than a kiss," added Val.
Maksim, 34, and Meryl, 27, were questioned separately by producers about whether they're dating and the clip aired during Dancing with the Stars' finale last night.
"I can't talk about that!" Meryl said with a laugh, blushing. "Our relationship is really unique because he incorporates so much passion into what he does."
Maksim, however, was much more aggressive in his answer, jokingly stating he'd love to propose to his celebrity partner almost immediately.

"I want to ravage her and have ice-skating, big Russian, mean babies. We're going to call them Boris and Oleg," Maksim joked. "Their nicknames are going to be 'Bear' -- both. There's just going to be one nickname for both. 'Hey Bear!' Whichever one comes first will be it."
But Maksim apparently isn't the only person who has become completely taken with Meryl, a Sochi Olympics ice dancing gold medalist.
"We as a family love her, too," Val, 28, told Us. "We love Meryl, but I don't know if they were meant for each other or just meant to be in each other's lives for this moment, or for many moments, definitely, as it's a friendship they'll keep for a very long time."
