Jenn was smitten with Marcus, and she admitted that her feelings for the bachelor were further along than his feelings seemed to be for her.

And Marcus confirmed that was the case when he told a loved one during his hometown date, "I think I'm kind of stuck somewhere between really, really liking someone and loving them. I don't know, maybe I'm beating myself up a little bit because I'm not in love with her yet. I still do have hope that that can happen."

Marcus began wondering if he was just afraid of dropping his walls and really letting Jenn into his heart.

"I can picture myself being in love with him for sure, but I've been holding back a little because I'm scared," Jenn explained to Marcus' sister, before breaking down into tears.

At the end of the hometown date, Marcus assured Jenn that his family loved her and that he was "falling" for her.

Jenn confessed she had been "waiting so long to hear those words" and she was incredibly excited.

"I feel so strongly for you, and especially after today, I am falling for you too," Jenn told Marcus.

Marcus also said "the enemy is always more prepared than you think," and he continued of his lessons, "Life will test you and ask you to move on before you're ready, it's possible to experience a tremendous amount of heart break while living out your wildest dreams, [and] no matter how many times you checked your route, there will always be a surprise mountain, wadi, or river you must cross."

Marcus explained "a great leader is always more concerned about the welfare of his men over his own" and that a person can "spend an eternity contemplating the life and death decisions" he or she has made or "find solace in the fact that you were strong enough to make them."
