Jenn quickly fell for Marcus, but she realized by the time hometown dates rolled around that her feelings for Marcus were much further along than what he was feeling for her.
And Marcus confirmed that was the case when he told a loved one during his hometown date, "I think I'm kind of stuck somewhere between really, really liking someone and loving them."
Marcus also told The Bachelorette host Jesse Palmer in Hawaii, "I'm doing everything I can do to get there. I think it would be wrong for me to get down on a knee right now with how much uncertainty I have."
Marcus therefore confessed to Jenn during their overnight Fantasy Suite date that he was feeling "unsure" about their relationship and she deserved a man who would be all in with her. Marcus' want to shut down, however, made Jenn open up like never before on the show.
"I'd be lying if I didn't tell you that I am in love with you and the way you make me feel and the way we've had so many moments that I can't explain, where I felt so comfortable with you and so close to you," Jenn told Marcus.
Marcus told Jenn that her love declaration meant the world to him and he wanted to keep trying, and so they enjoyed their Fantasy Suite. The next morning, Marcus woke up feeling a lot more confident in what he was building with Jenn.
But will Marcus "get there" with Jenn? If he turns out to be The One, will Marcus propose marriage to Jenn on The Bachelorette finale airing Tuesday, September 3 on ABC? Until we can find out, let's dive in and learn some information about Marcus right now.
