Marey Carey is insisting it's just too soon for Nicki Minaj and herself to be arguing, although reports have already surfaced claiming the new judges "went at it" their first day of taping American Idol's upcoming twelfth season on Sunday.

"It's music. It's singing. It's laughter."
Minaj -- whom Fox announced on Sunday had inked a deal to become a new judge on the show in addition to country singer Keith Urban and returning judge Randy Jackson -- told reporters she's loving her new gig so far.
"It's wonderful, darling," said Minaj, People reported.
Added Jackson, "We're having fun, dude. We've been having a good time. There has been a lot of laughs."
American Idol host Ryan Seacrest joked Jackson might actually be the biggest diva of them all on the set.
"Randy will not share his mirror, and I've never seen that side of him before," explained Seacrest, whom was asked which star takes the longest to get ready for the show. "It's causing friction between you and I."
A source told People the newbies on the panel are fitting into their new judging positions quite nicely, as Minaj provided some big laughs and Carey nailed her criticism on the head when critiquing Idol auditioners in New York their first day on the job.
Urban also reportedly hid under the judges' table following one presumably bad performance.
