Fox has announced it's ordered an unscripted dating series from Burnett, the Emmy-Award winning executive producer and reality TV pioneer behind shows including Survivor, The Apprentice, The Voice, and Shark Tank.
Set in the Caribbean Islands, the 10-episode series will test whether instant chemistry found via online dating can actually last. Single men and women will be matched up based on their immediate connections and then must discover whether they are compatible enough for long-term relationships.
"I am so happy to be making my first dating series with Fox," Burnett said in a statement. "It's a genre that attracts a wide audience and our series gives a very fresh perspective that mirrors real life."
The series is slated to premiere in 2016. Additional details will be released at a later time.

The currently-untitled show is being produced by MGM Television, for which Burnett now serves as president, and Grandma's House Entertainment. In addition to Burnett, Ben Newmark, Dan Newmark and Larry Barron are also creating and executive producing the series.
