Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition debuted with five couples being stripped away from the VIP treatment and finding themselves pleading their case before Judge Lynn Toler from Divorce Court during Thursday night's episode on WE tv.

The couples on Marriage Boot Camp this season are Soulja Boy and girlfriend Nia Riley, rapper Waka Flocka and wife Tammy Rivera, Lil' Mo and husband Karl Dargan, Jessica Dime and fiance Shawne Williams, and Lil' Fizz of B2K -- who asked to be called Dreux -- and ex-girlfriend Tiffany Campbell.

The couples were given 10 days to get to the core of who they are as individuals and what they wanted out of their relationships.

The pairs of spouses, lovers or estranged hearts were forced to leave their lavish lifestyles of champagne and fancy cars behind to work through their scandals, dark secrets, and cheating allegations under the guidance of therapists Dr. Venus Nicolino and Dr. Ish Major.

Former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta couple Waka Flocka and wife Tammy have been married for four years, but rumors of the rapper's infidelity had plagued Tammy for quite some time.

"I've beat him with a bamboo stick; I've beat him with a lamp... and an electric drill," Tammy admitted to the cameras of their explosive fights.

Former Love & Hip Hop: New York couple Lil' Mo and husband Karl, a pro boxer, were dealing with a similar scandal, as Karl had cheated on his wife and one woman even claimed to have naked photos of him.

The results of a recent polygraph test actually proved Karl had been flirting with other women on social media.

As for Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood couple Dreux and Tiffany, she showed up to Marriage Boot Camp by herself because she was no longer dating Lil' Fizz from B2K.

"He totally ices me out and so I haven't seen him since we broke up two months ago... but if he doesn't show up, he's not going to see this ass again," Tiffany said in a confessional, hoping to reconcile with her former flame during this process.

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta couple Jessica and Shawne got engaged two years prior to their Marriage Boot Camp experience, and Shawne proudly pulled up to the mansion in a car with a license plate that read, "NoCommit."

"The past couple months, my feet been frozen," Shawne admitted, adding that he didn't like it when his fiancee displayed her "ratchetness" in all of the wrong places, such as airports and Petco.

And former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood couple Soulja Boy and Nia had been dating on and off for 10 years. She called him a controlling "cheater" and said he had "embarrassed her one million and one times."

Nia also apparently went out on a date once with Dreux, so tension was in the air and their dynamic was a little awkward upon entering the mansion.

Once the five couples moved into the mansion, they enjoyed a short-lived VIP-style party, and that's when Dreux finally showed up.

Dreux felt it was safe to say his relationship with Tiffany had "fizzled out," and the other couples recognized their "weird frequency."

Tiffany said she had issues with Dreux's "baby mama" in that they just couldn't get along despite Tiffany's many attempts to "coexist."

The couples were then introduced to Dr. Ish, Dr. Venus, and Judge Toler, after which each pair had to participate in a "divorce court" exercise in which each individual had to plead his or her case in regards to relationship problems.

Lil' Mo said women have accused Karl of telling them he loves them, and she felt disrespected as his wife, lover, friend, assistant and more. Karl, on the other hand, didn't feel respected by his wife either.

Nia then stood up and announced women "come at" their men on social media only to piss off the ladies in their lives, and Soulja Boy suggested Lil' Mo -- who had been married twice before -- was insecure.

Soulja Boy admitted he wants his girl to stay at home and cook and clean, not go out and party with her friends. Nia, however, was tired of dating "a man child" and "feeling like a prisoner" in her own home.

Nia alleged Soulja Boy also hit up women on social media, and he just replied, "Love makes you do crazy stuff."

Nia felt dismissed and was looking for an apology, but Soulja Boy was tired of saying sorry over and over again.

"I just want to fix it. I feel like we've been through so much already. I love her and want to marry her," Soulja Boy said, although Nia wasn't happy in the relationship.

Dreux and Tiffany were up next, and she disclosed she was "a single woman" at the time. He agreed he was single as well, but his reason for going on the show was to correct his habit of pushing the people he cares about out of his life.

While Dreux was hoping to be on good terms with Tiffany, she was still fighting for a future with the B2K singer. But she needed some reassurance and commitment from him in order to move forward as a couple.

Dreux could see himself getting married, but he had a hard time picturing his future spouse.

"I really only plan on introducing one more woman to my son, and that being my wife. If this doesn't work, then she won't be meeting him," Dreux confessed.

It then became time for Jessica and Shawne to open up. Jessica said their wedding date had been pushed off ever since she welcomed a baby.

Jessica, a former stripper, said Shawne bossed her around, telling her, for instance, that she wears too much makeup. However, they appeared to be on the same page in that they both wanted to get married still.

Waka Flocka then admitted he had hurt Tammy in the past, and video footage played of him "running his mouth" about loving all different types of women and wanting to be with them.

Waka Flocka also insisted Tammy had once pulled a gun on him during a fight, but the allegation just led to Tammy bursting out in laughing.

The aggression other couples showed actually made Lil' Mo feel better about her own relationship.

The couples were glad when the first drill was over, but they were all scared about what was coming up next.

For the second drill of the new season, each couple was assigned a plaque from their fellow cast members that would ultimately label the current status of their relationship.

Dr. Ish and Dr. Venus recognized everyone needed to break free from the stereotypes and typical gender roles within the music industry. For instance, the guys just sat back like kings and expected the ladies to do the work on this exercise.

Plaques included "99 Problems Plus 1," which was given to Dreux and Tiffany as well as "To the Left," which went to Soulja Boy and Nia.

At the end of the first day, all of the cast members thought they were going to unwind and relax in their lavish bedrooms, but instead, they witnessed an unpleasant surprise and the rooms were designed to remind each couple of their issues.

Nia had to sleep in a bed that was inside of a giant cage to signify how Soulja Boy wanted her to be his prisoner. And Jessica and Shawne's room was adorned with wedding decorations, including a cake!

As for Tiffany and Dreux, their bedroom represented hot and cold, and Tammy's room had broken lamps and furniture thrown about to represent her outbursts and physical rage during arguments.

Lil' Mo and Karl's bedroom was basically a shrine to Lil' Mo and her money and success. The setup of the room made Karl feel small, as Lil' Mo was in charge and also just so happened to be the breadwinner.

Dr. Ish and Dr. Venus wanted the participants to be faced with their problems at all times, saying there was no escape or break to be had.
