Married at First Sight's prior couples firmly believe Amber Bowles should just move on and forget having any type of relationship with Matthew Gwynne after they both decided to divorce.

Although Amber hoped to be cordial with Matt more than two months after "Decision Day," some of the alums advised Amber to cut him loose completely during Lifetime's September 19 broadcast of Married at First Sight: Couples Couch, which features former MAFS couples offering commentary on encore broadcasts of the show's ninth season.
The reunion special was hosted by Kevin Frazier and featured Amber venting about how she and Matt seemed like "parting enemies" after their divorce. She simply thought Matt hated her.
"He's being so rude to her unnecessarily," Danielle said while watching Matt and Amber's interactions.
Amber hoped to be goofy and "cordial" with Matt going forward, but Matt insisted he needed space because the breakup was still fresh and he was trying to process everything that had just happened.
"This is all very awkward," Jamie noted.
"The sad part is she's the one who got screwed over and she is the one still begging for him to be cordial and friendly and to like her. She feels like he hates her."
Jamie then urged, "It's like, girl, who cares if he hates you?! Let him go!"
Amber's reasoning for wanting to remain on good terms is her belief she'll likely bump into Matt at local hotspots in Charlotte, NC, where they both currently reside.
"I don't want to act like I don't know him because that's stupid. Like, I married him," Amber said at the reunion.

"You don't have to act like that then, just act however you want," Jamie suggested.
As Kevin pointed out things just don't work out sometimes, Kristine yelled at her TV, "F-ck him, Amber!"
Ashley then poked fun at Matt for still not getting his own apartment after filming Married at First Sight.
"He still doesn't have his own place," Ashley said.
"Couch surf on other guy friends' couch," Jamie noted, smiling big.
When Amber revealed to Matt and Kevin at the reunion she was dating again, Jamie gushed, "She looks great at this reunion."
And Doug shared, "There are no failures with Married at First Sight. When you get a divorce, you learn a ton about yourself."
Jamie agreed, adding, "Whether you stay married or not, it's a success because you have so much self-growth."

When Amber joked that she left Matt in her rearview mirror, Ashley noted, "I love Amber!"

"Matt also did his crazy, but he's been doing it for the last..." Anthony began.
"Yeah, he did his 'crazy' while he was married!" Ashley interjected.
And then Doug acknowledged, "Matt was just not ready to be marred -- at all."
Matt led Amber and many Married at First Sight fans to believe he had cheated on his wife because he often disappeared for hours on end, claiming he was just hanging out with friends.
One night, however, Matt didn't return to his apartment with Amber for 24 hours and left his wedding ring in the nightstand next to their bed.
Amber also heard from her best friend Raven that Matt had been spotted out at a bar with another woman. Not only did Raven say Matt had been very focused on this woman, but Matt also allegedly left the bar with her.
In addition, Amber revealed a fellow teacher friend at her school claimed Matt had been texting another woman, whom he had allegedly asked out on a date.
On "Decision Day," Matt and Amber mutually agreed to get a divorce, leaving Amber feeling like she wasn't enough. Amber was tired of Matt's actions not matching up with his words.
Amber desperately wanted her marriage to work and had genuine feelings for Matt, but she wished the former pro basketball player had just walked away from their marriage earlier since he clearly wasn't invested in it.

Earlier in the Married at First Sight: Couples Couch broadcast, the former MAFS cast members had also slammed Matt and made it clear they weren't buying his explanations for what he was doing and whom he was with when he was disappearing on Amber.
"He wouldn't know how it would affect [Amber], ahh, it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out she wouldn't be happy you didn't come home and you left your ring at home!" Jamie exclaimed, referencing how Matt stayed out all night without his wedding ring.
"Such an artsy answer," Doug joked.
"Bullsh-t!" Ashley yelled after Matt explained that if he sees someone out whom he knows, he's going to talk to that person.
"He's so tall he can see everybody in the bar," Doug said. "Except for Amber's best friend [Raven]!"
In addition, several MAFS alums had also said they believed Matt was lying when he told Kevin he had not slept with another woman during his eight-week marriage to Amber.
"I don't believe him," Jamie noted.
"That was a lie," Ashley said.
"That makes me feel bad [for] Amber!" Jamie expressed.
Ashley then asked her husband, "Do you believe him?" Anthony, however, declined to answer.
In addition to Amber and Matt, Keith Manley also chose to divorce Iris Caldwell.
