Married at First Sight is looking for Boston singles to participate in a new season of the extreme social experiment.

Married at First Sight will be filming a new season in Boston, MA, this year, and casting for the upcoming edition of the popular Lifetime reality series is currently underway.

The application for Married at First Sight's fourteenth season is available at mafsboston.castingcrane.com, and the casting call was announced on Married at First Sight's production company Kinetic Content's official casting page on Instagram.

"We have a WICKED awesome announcement for Boston singles today!!! Married At First Sight is headed your way! If you are single, truly ready for a commitment and currently live in the Boston area, APPLY HERE mafsboston.castingcrane.com," Kinetic Content captioned an ad on its Instagram account on Monday, January 25, along with heart and diamond-ring emojis.

The ad shows a bride and groom hand-in-hand and reads, "Now casting Married at First Sight Boston. Ready for the ultimate leap of faith? Exhausted all options? Ready to find the love of your life? Apply now."

According to the casting application, potential cast members must be available for interviews this year from June 5 through June 6 as well as from June 11 through June 14.

Applicants must also be available from July 23 through August 1.

Married at First Sight is currently airing its twelfth edition, which is based in Atlanta, GA, and Season 13 of Married at First Sight, which will be based in Houston, TX, is expected to premiere later this year.

The show's fourteenth season set in Boston would therefore likely air in the first half of 2022.

Married at First Sight changes its filming location each season, with previous editions having filmed in cities including New York, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Washington, D.C.

Married at First Sight's fourteenth season will be the second MAFS edition to be filmed in Boston, as the city also served as the location of the show's sixth season.

Married at First Sight's sixth season concluded with fan-favorite couple Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre staying married.

In August 2020, Lifetime gave Married at First Sight a huge six-season renewal for Seasons 12 through Season 17.

Married at First Sight features experts matching up pairs of strangers based on their compatibility, goals, physical type, hobbies, religion, views of marriage and gender roles, and more.

The current Married at First Sight experts are sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz, marriage counselor Pastor Calvin Roberson, and psychotherapist Dr. Viviana Coles, who replaced Dr. Jessica Griffin for Season 10 after Jessica fell in love with former Season 6 groom Jonathan Francetic.

Married at First Sight began featuring five couples each season beginning with Season 10. Married at First Sight Seasons 8 and 9 each featured four couples after the show's first seven seasons only starred three couples a season.

After meeting for the first time on their big day, each couple gets married and the next six to eight weeks of their lives are documented -- beginning with their wedding ceremony, reception and honeymoon, and continuing with the joys and struggles of daily life as they move in together and adjust to their new life as newlyweds.

Married at First Sight's eleventh season that aired late last year documented a much longer-than-usual experiment given the couples were forced to quarantine and production shut down in New Orleans amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Married at First Sight's twelfth season currently stars Briana and Vincent, Paige and Chris, Haley and Jacob, Clara and Ryan, and Virginia and Erik.
