Married at First Sight's Season 18 castmates have slammed Michelle Tomblin's treatment of David Trimble during their honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.

On Married at First Sight's latest episode, Michelle admitted to David that she felt "smothered" and needed a lot of space from him.

Michelle admitted she couldn't get over the fact David still lived at home with his parents, and she appeared to get more turned off as David allegedly "talked at" her and revealed he had an ex-girlfriend's name tattooed on his chest.

Michelle was well aware she was being "a brat," but she still appeared to take every opportunity to criticize David or reprimand him.

On Married at First Sight: Afterparty, David watched back a clip of Michelle scolding him for living in "a fantasy land."

David asks his wife in the clip, "What is this fantasy land that you think I'm living in? Because I'm asking questions? I'm getting very vague answers."

"You're asking vague questions!" Michelle snaps in reply.

"Maybe I'm taking it the wrong way," David notes. "Tell me if I am. Would you rather me be straight up, like, 'How is your relationship with your parents? Do you have that close relationship?'"

"But why are you wanting to know that?" Michelle asks.

"Because I'm a big family person," David explains, "and I'm just curious to know anything and everything about you."

Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam admitted that when she watched this footage on TV, she was very "mad" for David because he and Michelle were supposed to be getting to know each other.

"I'm confused. I'm in shock that when I asked that question, that was her response. Those are questions that were supposed to be shared with one another," David said.

"You're supposed to know about someone's family that you're married to and how your relationship is with them! I came into this wholeheartedly telling them, 'Family is huge for me,' and so, when she threw that at me, it was like, I didn't know where to go."

David continued, "At that point, I was stuck. I was trying to figure things out, but my head was spinning, like, 'What more can I do?'"

As the clip aired, David's co-star Karla -- who also appeared on Afterparty -- dropped her jaw in shock.

"To me, [David] handled it very gracefully because my eyes would be rolling. I'd probably get up and be like, 'I don't know, bitch! I don't know. You're on your own. I don't know,'" Karla confessed.

Keshia wondered if a man had hurt Michelle in the past and that's why she was so guarded and harsh.

David said he had asked Michelle about her past relationships but he received a vague answer for that as well.

"I think she thinks I'm in this fantasy land... just because I'm positive and in a happy mood," David explained.

"I was in Mexico, so I was just hoping for a crack -- a window or a door, or something!"

Since Michelle and David's communication appeared to be terrible on-camera, Keshia asked David what his dynamic with Michelle was like when Married at First Sight cameras weren't rolling.

"Off-camera, there was no conversation. I'm on the couch and she's in the bedroom," David revealed. "We didn't just sit and talk. There was nothing."

During a separate Afterparty episode, Married at First Sight stars Emem, Madison and Thomas watched back a Season 18 clip of Michelle telling David not to check up on her so often.

"I'm feeling smothered. I'm like, 'He needs to leave me alone,'" Michelle tells David in the footage.

"When I said, 'Let me be,' and, 'I want space,' I truly mean that," she continues to vent. "Don't call me. Don't text me. Because when you do that, it irks me and it makes me even more angry. Back off a little bit."

After David was shown expressing how he understood, Keshia told the MAFS cast members how it hurt her heart to watch that tense conversation between Michelle and David unfold.

"Oh wow, I am shocked!" Emem said on Afterparty.

"It seems like she would be more personable when communicating with him. She was extremely brutal and just kind of mean to him!"

Keshia noted that although Michelle wasn't attracted to David and had issues with him, she could've still treated David like a human being and spoken to him with kindness.

"Coming from a fella's perspective, I talked with David and he's someone who cares tremendously about people," Thomas shared.

"And to see him try to do the basic things to show he's concerned about someone's well-being or just checking in, which I think most women would be happy with -- David has the truest and most honest intentions."

Thomas suggested that Michelle needed to figure out whether she wanted space from David or complete isolation.

"What's the answer?" Thomas asked on David's behalf.

Madison added that she had noticed "a lack of questions" on Michelle's part, which she thought was weird.

"I would have all the questions! That's why I'm kind of word-vomiting with [my husband] Allen a little bit, because there are things on my mind that I want to ask him," Madison explained.

"And if I were Michelle, I would want to know more about things. And so, I'm just not seeing any of that. There is no desire."

Michelle admitted on Married at First Sight that she was shutting down and didn't even want to try with David anymore.
