Despite sharing a passion for nutrition and fitness, the passion was missing in their relationship.
Danielle and Cody never had sex, much to Cody's dismay, but they still decided to stay married at the end of the process.
Both individuals had been committed to the marriage and the show.
The couple, however, announced their decision to divorce in August 2017 after about a year together.
In April 2020, Lifetime aired a Married at First Sight: Where Are They Now? special that provided updates on some of MAFS's former participants.
In her Where Are They Now? update video, Danielle said she has remained single since her divorce and is now a yoga instructor.
"Since the show I became a yoga instructor, so I teach part-time and I've been really fortunate to get to lead some yoga retreats around the world, which has been a dream come true," Danielle said.
"Since the show, I am single. I am happy, and I am happy to wait until I meet the right person."
