Married at First Sight alums have slammed Katie Conrad for allegedly cheating on Derek Sherman with her ex-boyfriend twice during their short-lived marriage, with Shawniece Jackson saying she knew it was going to happen all along.

The Married at First Sight: Couples Couch couples who offered their commentary on the reunion special were Shawniece and Jephte Pierre, Elizabeth Bice and Jamie Thompson, Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis, and Ashley Petta and Anthony D'Amico.
When Derek first dropped the bombshell on the reunion special he and Katie were no longer married, Jephte relied, "Damn! What happened?!"
Elizabeth's jaw dropped and she said, "Gag!"
Derek was shown telling Kevin that Katie first suggested they try to be friends about two weeks after "Decision Day."
"Never works," Doug pointed out.
"Let's try to be friends? You're married! Come on!" Otis vented.
Derek admitted Katie subsequently requested they separate during a trip to Nashville, TN, which is where he took Katie for their one-month anniversary.
"[Separation] is a good topic to bring up on a one-month anniversary," Doug teased.
"Here's an anniversary gift!" Otis added sarcastically. "Thanks for bringing me out to Nashville for our anniversary -- can we actually, like, part ways!?"

"He put her on his health insurance," Otis noted. "That's how dedicated he was."
"Yeah, and the beneficiary. She could kill him!" Doug joked. "And get all the money still."
Otis teased her husband for taking things to a whole different level.
Anthony was disappointed to see Katie and Derek didn't work out, telling his camera, "You're breaking my heart already. This is only the first couple [we've seen at the reunion]!"
But was Derek's heart broken? He told Kevin that Katie actually made it really easy for him not to fall in love with her
"What?!" Anthony expressed in shock, later adding, "Holy sh-t, man!"
"I feel like they really don't like each other right now," Ashley observed.
Derek then revealed to Kevin that Katie had confessed to having an affair with her ex-boyfriend "about a week ago."

"Yeah," Jephte agreed.
Katie had hooked up with the ex-boyfriend who said he loved her and tried to get back with Katie before she walked down the aisle on Married at First Sight, and Anthony joked about how the ex came back in the end.

"That's what you said from the beginning," Anthony told his wife, Ashley. "She just wanted that physical connection, that fire."
Katie explained to Kevin that she and Derek had no physical relations for about a month and Derek hadn't tried to have sex with her.
"Oh my gosh! She's justifying her affair?!" Otis shouted. "And now she's kind of blaming Derek, saying it's his fault she had the affair?!"
Katie said since she's been in love before, she knows what love feels like -- and she was not developing feelings of love for Derek.
"I think the knives are getting sharper and people are just stabbing each other. But they're taking shots with words, not real knives," Anthony said.
Derek admitted his greatest fear throughout the whole process was that Katie would have an affair with her ex, whom she remained attracted to during her marriage.
"But then I find out just several days ago that literally a day after our honeymoon, she slept with him," Derek revealed.
"Oh!!" Jephte yelled.
"I told you!" Shawniece yelled.

Derek claimed five different people -- including cast members -- warned him Katie had slept with her ex after the honeymoon, but Katie said those people must have taken things out of context.
"I told you," Shawniece repeated to her husband.
"Oh sh-t!" Anthony said.
"Oh my God," Ashley said.
Jephte and Thompson both laughed on Couples' Couch, before Thompson pointed out, "Katie is the female villain. It's official, guys."
Katie called her encounter with her ex "a physical slip-up."
"I was out, I was drunk, and it just sounded like a really good idea!" Elizabeth joked.
When Katie slept with ex, she said she felt like her relationship with Derek was already done and over.
"Yeah, but you were still on your anniversary trip to Nashville!" Otis shouted. "That's not fair! [Katie] wants her cake and to eat it too."
Katie wished Derek the best of luck and said he deserved to find love, but Thompson joked, "That outfit says, though, 'You're going to miss me! I want you to miss me.'"

"That's the worst part of it," Thompson said.
Jephte laughed after everything unfolded, and Shawniece playfully bragged, "I knew it! I knew it." So Shawniece clearly had a hunch Katie was going to go back to her ex at some point.
"I knew it since the beginning. What did I tell you?!" Shawniece asked Jephte.
"You think [Katie] was sleeping with her ex during filming?" Jephte asked.
"I don't think she may have been sleeping with him but I definitely think she was probably communicating with him throughout that. Yes," Shawniece explained.
"Yeah," Jephte responded in agreeance.
"That's bullsh-t!" Shawniece vented. "And this is what I said to you in this experiment before it even happened."
"You're right. You're right," Jephte said. "You got this one."
Shawniece continued, "I am so not surprised but disappointed at the same time."
Not only did Katie cheat on Derek, technically, at least once, but she also went out for drinks with Mindy Shiben's husband on Season 10, Zach Justice. Katie has therefore received backlash ever since the reunion special aired Wednesday night on Lifetime.
The only couple who left the reunion special still married was Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd.
