Married at First Sight's prior couples think Zach Justice should have just told Pastor Calvin Roberson he wanted to end his marriage to Mindy Shiben rather than string his wife along through the rest of the experiment.

On Married at First Sight's tenth season, Zach discovered after his wedding he lacked an attraction to his wife, and following a somewhat awkward and affection-free honeymoon, Zach refused to move into an apartment with Mindy back in Washington, D.C.

During the latest episode of Married at First Sight, Pastor Cal paid Mindy and Zach a visit to discuss their issues, and several former MAFS couples gave Zach a piece of their minds while watching the scene back on the February 12 broadcast of Married at First Sight: Couples Couch, which features commentary on encore broadcasts of Married at First Sight's tenth edition.
The couples featured in the Couples Couch broadcast were Ashley Petta and Anthony D'Amico, Elizabeth Bice and Jamie Thompson, Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre, and Bobby Dodd and Danielle Bergman.

When Zach was shown meeting with Pastor Cal, Elizabeth said she wanted to "gag" at the sight of his good hair and tattoos.
"He's so mean to her but then he's so nice to everyone else," Jamie said.
"I know! That's the thing!" Elizabeth shouted.
Anthony poked fun at how Zach listed Mindy's positive attributes -- including "intuitive" and "aware" -- when trying to explain to Pastor Cal how the figure skater is perfect on paper but he didn't feel chemistry with her.
"'She's intuitive. She's aware?' Is she a piece of technology?" Anthony joked.

Zach was shown explaining to Pastor Cal chemistry is intangible and can't be manufactured.
"That drives things toward an attraction, right? That fuels your intensity to be able to interact and discover and make things work," Zach told Pastor Cal.

Pastor Cal took off his glasses and rubbed his face while listening, which the former couples found pretty funny.
"Pastor Cal is like, 'Come on, man! Come on!'" Ashley said.

Pastor Cal also rolled his eyes and admitted to Zach he was trying to understand what he was talking about.
"We're all trying to get there with Zach!" Elizabeth noted with a laugh.
Zach attempted to explain "something [was] missing" with Mindy even though he was attracted to most -- if not all -- of her qualities.
"You're not attracted to the way she looks," Anthony pointed out. "You don't like the way she looks."
"Trash!" Elizabeth yelled at her TV.

Shawniece said she understood what Zach was saying but the way he was going about it was all wrong.
"I think he's lying," Jephte insisted.
"I would understand if he had a preconceived notion of what she should look like and what she should be and she wasn't it and you have to come around that. That's different! But him saying [Mindy] is what [Zach] thought he wanted -- and still?"
Pastor Cal then asked Zach whether he wanted to stay in his marriage to Mindy and try to work things out.
"Where are you at, Zach?" Anthony asked when watching the scene unfold. "You're killing me son."
"I think the best thing would be to say he's done!" Ashley suggested.

"How much are you going to f-ck this girl's life up?" Elizabeth asked.
Zach replied by saying Mindy's an "amazing person" but he wasn't sure with certainty whether attraction could grow and evolve.
"He talks so candid about it," Jamie observed.
"So basically he's saying he believes attraction can grow but if there's no chemistry, it can't?" Ashley said.

"He's also not willing to build the chemistry," Anthony stated.
When Pastor Cal continued to search for some direct, straight answers from Zach, Bobby yelled out, "Yeah, break it down, Shakespeare!"
Zach said he did want to work on the marriage, and Anthony admitted he didn't believe Zach's "yes" to putting in effort and trying.
"I don't believe that either," Ashley said. "That was more like a question [than a definitive answer]. Like, 'Yes?'"
Pastor Cal didn't fully believe Zach's answer either, and Anthony apparently felt the same way.
Shawniece begged Pastor Cal to ask Zach "why" he wanted to resolve his issues with Mindy and attempt to move forward in their relationship.

Pastor Cal insisted chemistry can absolutely grow through spending more time together, and Jamie acknowledged the Married at First Sight expert had "a fair point."
"I mean, how many people fall in love with their best friend?" Jamie reasoned.
Elizabeth then completely changed the subject and joked about how Zach looked like he's "a bad kisser," which made her husband roll his eyes and shake his head.
"Thanks for that," Jamie noted to Elizabeth.
Pastor Cal finally advised Zach to be patient in his marriage and give his connection with Mindy some time to develop.

"Be patient but don't waste anyone's time. Meaning, being patient is understanding that, 'Okay, there's a chance for potential,'" Shawniece shared.
"But wasting somebody's time is knowing -- but still, you're just waiting to see. [It's] knowing that you don't want it, but you're just still waiting to see."
Jephte was confused by Shawniece's explanation, but she elaborated on her stance by saying being patient means remaining open-minded and believing there's a 50 percent chance things could work out.

"Wasting time is knowing or having the expectation it's not going to work but you're still just waiting to see [what happens]," Shawniece said.
"I got it," Jephte replied.

Zach said in the latest MAFS episode not living with Mindy right away made him feel comfortable and he wasn't going to force his relationship or put on an act for the sake of entertainment and Married at First Sight cameras.
Zach was apparently hoping that by being apart from Mindy, he'd miss her and want to reach out and spend time with her.
But Pastor Cal told the cameras on Wednesday night's episode, "Zach needs to man up and at least move in, get to know [Mindy], find out who she is, and see whether or not this woman can enhance your life."
Married at First Sight's tenth season also stars Meka Jones and Michael Watson, Austin Hurd and Jessica Studer, Brandon Reid and Taylor Dunklin, and Katie Conrad and Derek Sherman.
Married at First Sight currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
