Married at First Sight star AJ Vollmoeller has shown himself to be easily agitated and frustrated on Season 8, and now his wife Stephanie Sersen and show expert Pastor Calvin Roberson are weighing in on his apparent overreactions to things.

"I don't want to walk into an empty place [for work] and want to blow my brains out because it's so empty," AJ barked at his wife during Tuesday night's episode, as she was asking him what he would like or not like to pack.
During an appearance on Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Stephanie shed some light on AJ's little tantrums.
"Part of me is thinking, 'Really? That's not that big of a deal,'" Stephanie admitted to Unfiltered host Jamie Otis, who appeared on Season 1 of the Lifetime reality series.
"So I'm just thinking in my head, 'Alright, just let him do what he wants. He'll get over it and I'm just going to stand back and let him make a fool of himself.'"
After Stephanie laughed, she added, "To me, it wasn't that big of a deal. But he was making a big deal about little things."
Jamie then asked Pastor Cal what he thought of AJ's temperament during the moving process on the show.
"He needs to chill! Okay?" Pastor Cal said with a laugh. "He needs to chill."
"AJ, I believe, is set in his ways quite a bit, which is why I believe this woman here is the absolute best person for him," Pastor Cal said of Stephanie.

Although Stephanie didn't appreciate AJ's behavior when they packed up his apartment, she expressed on Unfiltered one should only pick a fight with his or her spouse when the time calls for desperate measures.

"You have to choose your battles, and so the things that he's set in his ways about, if I don't care that much about them, I'll let him take over and have his way. Because to me, it doesn't mean that much," Stephanie explained.
Pastor Cal commended Stephanie on having that kind of insight and restraint in her marriage.
"Exactly. Perfect," Pastor Cal could be heard saying as Stephanie opened up.
"But for things that do mean a lot to me, like recycling," Stephanie revealed, "I will push that more."
Stephanie then confessed "it was shocking at first" to find out that AJ completely dismissed recycling.
"I grew up recycling, and that's all that I know," Stephanie shared. "I'm also a big environmentalist; it's in my family. I think he just needs to be taught and then he will adapt and be fine with it."
