Married at First Sight's eighteenth season will feature five Chicago-based couples marrying at first sight, moving in together, and trying to make newlywed life work for eight weeks.

The new Married at First Sight season is going to document the following couples tying the knot: Camille and Thomas, Karla and Juan, Madison and Allen, David and Michelle, and Emem and Ikechi.

If at the end of the eight-week experiment a couple is unhappy, they can choose to split and part ways on "Decision Day."

The Married at First Sight premiere kicked off with the 10 cast members being informed that they were going get married in two weeks.

When the brides and grooms-to-be shared the big news with family and friends, many of their loves ones were shocked and nervous about what was to come.

The cast members then picked out their wedding attire and enjoyed fun bachelor and bachelorette parties.

But before Camille walked down the aisle, anxiety took over her body and she started to panic.

"It's overwhelming for sure. Things just feel so real, like, the tension and the nerves -- it's building and it's bubbling right now. The nerves are going crazy," Camille told her bridesmaids.

When Camille started thinking about how this process needed to work out for her, she began to doubt her decision.

"I think I'm almost ready to go in the opposite direction," Camille lamented to her bridesmaids. "Would it be the end of the world if I literally just didn't do this?"

Camille explained how the buildup had been "fun and exciting" but she wasn't sure if she could walk through those doors.

Camille therefore took off and ran away from her wedding location. She questioned if she could go through with this experiment because this wasn't something she'd typically do.

Camille called the adventure "insane," and so she doubted her ability to suddenly become a stranger's wife.

Camille's sister Gabrielle, however, talked Camille off a ledge and assured her that the show wasn't "too much" and she was built to be a partner to somebody.

Gabrielle reminded Camille that she had done so much work on herself, she looked beautiful, she had thought things through, and it was time to take a deep breath and get married.

Camille then gathered up the strength to commit to the process and walk down the aisle, where she saw Thomas awaiting her in a traditional tuxedo.

Camille and Thomas smiled at each other, and Thomas told his bride that she looked "beautiful." Camille, in turn, told her future husband that he looked "amazing" as well.

Thomas learned from Camille's family and friends that she is a caring, genuine, eternally optimistic, and strong woman. Camille had also led her basketball team to victories in college as their captain.

Thomas was told that Camille wants to have fun while receiving unconditional love from her partner.

Camille then heard that she was marrying "the nice twin" -- a fun guy who's ambitious, caring, level-headed and "good" overall. Camille discovered that Thomas supports those he loves and volunteers his time to help local charities.

In her vows, Camille promised to support Thomas and make him feel wanted and appreciated. She said she would choose Thomas every day, no matter what, and work through the highs and lows with him.

Thomas promised to be faithful and let Camille choose her side of the bed. Thomas also said he'd give Camille the window seat on the plane and he'd always apologize for putting his foot in his mouth.

"I want to work at being the best versions of ourselves because now we are a team," Thomas told his bride.

The couple shared a sweet kiss after being declared "husband and wife," and then their reception commenced.

Madison and Allen's wedding was up next, and the pair hoped they were going to meet the love of their life. Allen said his goal from getting married at first sight was to never go to bed alone again.

The Married at First Sight episode then ended on a cliffhanger, with four more couples needing to get married.
