Married at First Sight featured Karla slamming Madison for her "grimy" and "dirty" behavior, the experts confronting David and Madison, David admitting he'd like to marry Madison, and Emem wishing Ikechi "the worst" in life during the Season 18 episode that aired Tuesday night on Lifetime.

Married at First Sight's eighteenth season stars five Chicago-based couples marrying at first sight, moving in together, and trying to make newlywed life work for eight weeks.

The five couples who tied the knot at first sight are Camille and Thomas, Karla and Juan, Madison and Allen, David and Michelle, and Emem and Ikechi.

If at the end of the eight-week experiment a couple is unhappy, they can choose to split and part ways on "Decision Day."

The Married at First Sight broadcast began at the couples' retreat eight days before Decision Day.

Michelle confronted Madison in her bathroom after Allen had left the house heartbroken.

"Let's go!" Michelle said.

Madison wondered why they couldn't have a civil, mature conversation, and Michelle replied, "I'm mad, Madison. You just f-cking lied to my face!"

Madison asked Michelle to listen to her, and then she simply said, "I like David."

"And I like her," David chimed in from the hallway.

Michelle yelled at David to butt out of the conversation, and she mocked Madison for needing protection from her new man.

Madison said David didn't need to protect her, and then she explained how she had connected with David at the gym and during the weekends they hung out.

"It's something we haven't explored, but I told him today [how I feel], and he told me back. But I didn't know that text message was for me. I didn't, and I'm telling you that," Madison told Michelle.

Michelle said she was "done" and "good," and then she angrily walked out of the room. Michelle was subsequently comforted by a "shocked" Emem, and Camille called Madison out for having "a nervous laugh."

Michelle admitted she was shaking and struggling to keep it together.

"I hope she likes living in his parents' basement, I guess!" Michelle quipped during her chat with Emem and Camille.

"They've been texting for a while, and then he had the audacity to say I wasn't trying. What was he doing?! He was trying with Madison! I don't want to be around them."

Michelle continued to vent, "He texted her, 'You're so damn fine, I can't wait to eat you.' Well did you eat her?! Nothing physical is going on?!... And [David] portrayed himself as Allen's friend. And Madison portrayed herself as my friend."

Michelle voiced how she felt "more hurt" by Madison because David had been lying to her face for a while at that point.

"They have drained all the energy from me. They are liars and they are pieces of sh-t in my opinion. They can f-cking go off into the sunset. Let's get the f-ck out of here!" Michelle vented, adding how neither Madison or David had genuinely apologized to her.

"They're f-cking losers," Michelle concluded.

Tensions were high in the house, and so both Emem and Michelle decided to leave the couples' retreat together.

The next morning, Decision Day was only one week away, and Madison was apparently feeling guilty and awful.

Madison, fighting back tears, said she truly cared for Allen and wanted to talk to him face-to-face. She hoped he could at least understand and maybe be able to forgive her someday.

Thomas, meanwhile, felt "foolish" for previously sticking up for David, and he suggested that he wouldn't be able to trust David going forward.

Camille also thought David and Madison's relationship was deeper -- and maybe more intimate -- than they were letting on due to the nature of the sexual text David had intended to send to her. Camille didn't think a man would tell a platonic friend that he wanted to "eat [her] up."

While getting coffee in the morning, Juan told David that he and Madison handled the situation poorly and he needed to reach out to Allen and apologize.

"Dude, he trusted you, and Allen is a really f-cking smart dude. You want him on your team. He has value!" Juan told David.

Juan gave David his blessing to pursue Madison, but he mentioned how they'd be starting on a bad note.

"There was a big part of me yesterday that was like, 'Dude, I don't know how I can be around these people after [that]," Juan admitted. "Because, man, it was very disappointing, dude. Like, what are you guys doing here?"

Juan pointed out how David and Madison were probably going to struggle to trust each other if this was the way they had started out.

David proceeded to check on Madison after a long night, and Madison shared how she wanted to explain herself better to their co-stars.

David told Madison that he had a lot to offer and wanted to show her more of his vulnerable and sentimental side, but Madison said she wanted to be friends first and not jump into dating or any type of serious commitment.

Madison explained how she had wanted to make things work so badly with Allen and "really f-cking tried." David agreed that Madison had put a lot of effort into her marriage and they often talked about their respective relationships at the gym.

Madison concluded that you can't help it when you catch feelings, and David clarified how he caught them "hard" for her.

Karla and Camille then pulled Madison into the living room for a conversation about what went down, and Karla spoke her truth and didn't hold back.

Karla explained how Michelle had confided in them as friends and their social group was supposed to be a safe space.

"I would never cross that boundary of stepping into another person's relationship in any type of way," Karla told Madison.

Madison said David's text shouldn't have gone to her because that's not the level they were on in their relationship. Madison claimed she was building a meaningful connection with David but things hadn't reached that intimate level yet.

Karla told Madison that she should have told Michelle about her feelings for David much sooner.

"It's uncomfortable to now look back on the fact I went out with you, David and Allen... It's really tough. It's uncomfortable. It's awkward. This is f-cked up and it's, like, grimy dude. It's dirty," Karla said, adding how there was a lack of respect in how the situation was handled.

Karla told Madison that her actions affected the entire cast and there was an "icky" feeling in the air.

Karla joked to the cameras about how she needed to sage the house or wear a crystal crown to protect herself from Madison's energy.

Madison explained to the women how she wasn't ready to jump into a new relationship with David, but Karla and Camille were under the impression Madison and David were going to "explore" things. Camille also seemed worried for Madison because David had already lied so much.

"If I received that text, I would've said, 'What are you doing? We're not on that level,'" Madison claimed.

"And I'm not a bad person, and I don't try to hurt people. I hope you can see that at some point, and I understand if you are disappointed in me."

Karla admitted she'd need time to think about things because she viewed the group's friendship as being genuine and a trust level had been broken. Karla told Madison that she didn't want to be involved or remain friends with someone who would overstep such a boundary.

Madison felt awful and hoped she could build those friendships back up over time, but Karla certainly didn't seem interested in fixing things.

Madison then left the couples' retreat early, and she told the cameras how she never meant to hurt Allen and he needed to hear that straight from her.

Later that day, Allen returned to the retreat house to pick up his car and pack up the spices he had brought to make dinner. Allen said his reality had been "altered" and he couldn't believe he defended Madison and had given her the benefit of the doubt so often.

Allen said Madison and David's behavior "destroyed" him, but he told Karla and Camille that he knew his worth and wouldn't let this experience get the best of him.

But Allen was still definitely furious that Madison and David had been talking for weeks, and he felt played and fooled. Allen wished Madison hadn't dragged him along and made him buy a new wardrobe if she was never going to stay with him.

"She dangled this carrot of hope," Allen vented. "'No, I absolutely want to be in this with you. If I didn't want to be in this with you, I'd be gone long ago.' Those were the words that were said to me."

Allen said he didn't want to speak to Madison or get more answers from her because he no longer cared. He also was upset about the fact David had been his good friend.

Allen also shared how he was proud of himself and had conducted himself like a gentleman.

"Just f-cking tell me [the truth]! We all joined this for love. I would've f-cking understood because not everybody is meant for everybody. I fully recognize that, but it was handled disgustingly," Allen told the cameras.

Allen told Thomas and Juan on his way out that he didn't regret doing Married at First Sight and he was at least leaving with his integrity intact. Thomas decided that he was going to be "Team Michelle" going forward because that was the right thing to do.

David was the next person to leave the couples' retreat early, and he apologized to everyone for ruining the weekend because he said he still felt love from everybody.

There were only two couples left at this point, and so Karla, Juan, Thomas and Camille tried to have some fun by playing basketball and moving on from all the drama.

The vibe was so off, however, that Camille never even brought out her lingerie. She teased Thomas that maybe she'd save the sexy ensemble for "after Decision Day."

Once Michelle got home, she called Pastor Calvin Roberson on the phone and caught him up on everything that had transpired at the couples' retreat. Pastor Cal was totally shocked as Michelle spilled the tea, and the MAFS expert told Michelle that she didn't deserve to be cheated on and lied to.

Pastor Cal found the turn of events "disturbing," and he pointed out how Madison and David's behavior showed "an incredible lack of integrity" and there was no way to justify what they had done.

Luckily, Michelle and Allen had each other's support and could totally relate to each other.

Michelle and Allen met up to vent and release some of the pain they were feeling, and they both agreed that Madison and David had to have exchanged flirtatious text messages prior to David's "eat you up" sext.

Married at First Sight footage then showed Madison and David returning to their respective apartments very late at night at the exact same time on three different occasions. The footage appeared to be evidence that Madison and David were out together and sometimes stayed out until 3AM.

Michelle and Allen talked about how Madison and David handled things poorly both before they were caught and after.

Allen told Michelle that Madison had texted him and apologized for hurting him. Madison asked Allen if he'd be open to talking to her, and then Allen replied, "Don't message me please. Nothing you say holds any value in my eyes."

Michelle and Allen came to the conclusion that they had dodged a bullet, and then Allen burned his wedding vows on the stovetop.

Allen said being in his shared apartment with Madison sickened him because their relationship was "bullsh-t" and he "guaranteed" Madison was out with David most nights when he waited up for his wife.

Allen said he just wanted honesty from his wife, whom he had really respected, and he didn't receive that.

Once David returned home, he met up with a good friend at a restaurant and revealed how he had "fallen for another wife" on the show.

"I really have feelings for her. I feel like a happy m-therf-cker," David gushed. "She's on the same page. She likes me... and I honestly could see, after all this and what happens, I would like to pursue that and see where it goes."

David said he and Madison had fitness and sports in common, and he said he could envision the long-term game with Madison.

"If I never did this, I would've never, ever met her," David told his pal with a huge smile on his face, adding how Madison saw whom he really was and whom he has the potential to be.

"I could see myself being married to Madison. If we get past [all this drama] and she feels the same way, I would roll with it and have no regrets about that."

David just hoped he wouldn't face rejection again after his failed marriage to Michelle.

Madison was then shown returning to her shared apartment with Allen, and she found the torched vows and broken memories -- including their "Mr." and "Mrs." mugs.

Madison wished she had explained things to Allen before David got the chance to, and she cried about how she never meant for things to unfold this way and her heart was breaking for Allen.

"It's hard to see everything destroyed, and it's hard to think about how he feels," Madison cried. "I never wanted any of this. I never wanted him to feel this hurt... [But] nobody understands what it was like to be in this position."

Madison then took off her wedding ring and left it on the counter, along with her apartment key.

With Decision Day quickly approaching, Emem and Ikechi met with Pastor Cal, Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Dr. Pia Holec.

Emem claimed Ikechi had said things about her that weren't true and she was wishing him "the worst" going forward. Emem thought Ikechi had brought a divorce paper to the couples' retreat just to "embarrass" her.

Emem told Ikechi that he should be ashamed of himself and she didn't want to hear his excuses anymore.

Ikechi explained how his marriage to Emem wasn't healthy and he simply wanted out, and Emem agreed that she wholeheartedly wanted a divorce.

Emem also wrote Ikechi a letter that she read aloud, and she called him "unstable" and said his reality was not based in fact. She called him "embarrassing" and gave him a parting gift -- a list of local therapists as well as proper divorce documents.

Dr. Pia called Emem's behavior "a little shady," but she stood by her actions because she was so angry and had given Ikechi "so much grace" throughout the process.

"Tonight, y'all got a taste of what I had to go through," Ikechi told the cameras after his meeting with Emem. "It doesn't feel good and it didn't feel good to sit here and be insulted... I'd rather be old and single than miserably married."

The episode ended with David and Madison meeting with the experts, and Madison admitted she was afraid to be "berated."

Dr. Pia told the cameras that this situation was "unprecedented" on Married at First Sight and totally unacceptable.

Madison and David repeated their story about how a friendship had blossomed in the gym and they were communicating just to check on each other.

David and Madison denied being intimate except for a hug, but the experts weren't buying it because of David's sext.

"I'll shoot my shot. I'm a man and I have needs," David explained.

"I'm sorry. I can't sit here and pretend... I just can't. I have to call you out right here and right now that you're having a sexually intimate relationship with her," Dr. Pia chimed in.

Madison confirmed she and David had flirted and were definitely sexually attracted to each other, but she insisted they never acted on those physical feelings because they're still married to other people.

Pastor Cal recalled how Madison didn't want to be matched with a person of color and so they didn't think Madison would've picked David up on the street or at a bar.

Pastor Cal added how there was "a proper way to do things," especially considering Michelle was turning a corner with David in their marriage, and this wasn't it.

David then announced how he'd like to see something "big" come out of this with Madison, but Madison reiterated how she didn't want to focus on that or rush into anything with David. She didn't like the idea of being a "rebound" either.

"Only time will tell," Madison noted.
