Married at First Sight featured Madison confronting Allen about not taking care of himself, Camille wishing Thomas had more "swagger," Juan forgetting about Karla, and Michelle refusing to sleep in the same bed with David during the Season 18 episode that aired Tuesday night on Lifetime.

Married at First Sight's eighteenth season stars five Chicago-based couples marrying at first sight, moving in together, and trying to make newlywed life work for eight weeks.

The five couples who tied the knot at first sight are Camille and Thomas, Karla and Juan, Madison and Allen, David and Michelle, and Emem and Ikechi.
If at the end of the eight-week experiment a couple is unhappy, they can choose to split and part ways on "Decision Day."

The Married at First Sight broadcast began on Day 7 of marriage with Juan and David bonding during their honeymoons in Cancun, Mexico.
Ikechi and Emem discussed how they were doing a good job of building emotional intimacy, and then Ikechi shared how he'd like to have children. Emem shared how she was "open" to starting a family if that's what they decided together.
And Camille and Thomas took a salsa lesson. Thomas wanted to show that he could be more assertive and take the lead, but he didn't exactly impress his wife.
"My husband's dancing is unique," Camille joked.
Meanwhile, Michelle decided that she needed to quit being hard on herself "and just say f-ck it." Michelle said she was prepared to enjoy the rest of her vacation and keep it casual with David.

While Michelle wasn't ready to let her walls down, she acknowledged that she was taking baby steps and was tired of fighting with David because he's a good guy. The pair therefore enjoyed a fun paddleboard session.
As for Juan and Karla, they enjoyed a romantic dinner after Juan had spent most of the day with David. Karla admitted that she was absorbing people's bad energy and so she needed to unwind and have a little attention paid to her.
"I'm not going to lie, I forgot that you were there because I was just having so much fun. I was living it up," Juan confessed to his wife.
"You forgot about me?" Karla asked.
"I was just living in the moment," Juan explained.

On Day 8 of the honeymoon, Camille admitted to the cameras that Thomas was missing some of the swagger she likes to have in a partner.
"We've had a lot of good moments so far in terms of our short time together. We've had a lot of good talks, but I'm still figuring out how we're vibing with the physical side of things," Camille explained.
"I think as I'm learning Tom, he is definitely giving more suburban style, whereas guys I've dated in the past have been more city guys. I'm just missing a little bit of that R&B smoothness I'm used to seeing more often."
Since Juan had forgotten about Karla the day prior, she forgot about him. Karla explained that she didn't provide a bag for Juan to pack his wet bathing suit in and so he was going to learn never to forget about her again.
Allen and Madison were then shown participating in a Mayan ritual with spirit guides. Allen and Madison were asked to touch each other, meditate and reflect.

Madison thought it was good for them to connect and continue pushing the physical aspect of their relationship, although Madison was further behind in her feelings for Allen.
Speaking of connecting, Michelle and David took a sushi-rolling class together. David wanted to show Michelle that he could be in her world of wine and fine dining, even though the idea of eating raw fish didn't really appeal to him.
While eating their sushi rolls, Michelle pointed out how she didn't like how much David cussed. David said that would be easy to pull back, and he thanked Michelle for having good communication.
Juan and Karla were then shown doing a photo shoot that required some underwater elements. At one point, Karla struggled to pose underwater, but Juan gave her a pep talk and helped her through it.
Although Karla was a little frustrated and still angry at Juan, he comforted her, and she liked how they had resolved conflict together. She thought it was nice they could go from being tense to laughing and having fun.
After Ikechi and Emem talked about how they liked to be loved and give love, Thomas vented in a confessional that night about how Camille had informed him that he's not traditionally the type of guy she'd go for and date. The pair also had very different upbringings.
"The Black culture side, she has more of that influence than I do," Thomas explained.
"And it's not my first time ever hearing that. I've heard it before from other partners. And normally, I don't think I would've taken that personally, but in this case, I kind of did. I hope I'm good enough for her."
Thomas acknowledged he was probably too much in his feelings but this was a trigger for him because he didn't really fit in with Black or white friends at school growing up.
Thomas therefore shared with Camille on Day 9 of marriage that he'd been told he "wasn't Black enough" for people and that was really hard for him.
Camille apologized to Thomas for touching on a "sore spot" for him, but Thomas said he learned he could be himself and not pick a side. Thomas said he didn't have anything to prove to anybody.

Camille told the cameras that she shouldn't put her own biases or judgement on Thomas just because he was a different package than she was used to.
Juan, meanwhile, spoke to Karla about his, "I forgot about you," comment.
Juan admitted it was "harsh," but he also explained to his wife how he'd like her to communicate with him better rather than just suffer in silence or act in a passive aggressive manner.
The cast later got together for drinks and discussed how they were about to transition into the real world. Each cast member was about to live with their new spouse, and everyone was a bit worried and anxious about what that was going to be like.
Madison criticized Allen in front of the group for wearing his "supermarket fruit and vegetable shirts" wherever he went.
"I don't want somebody who wants to change themselves for me, but that has been an adjustment for me and I'm trying to keep my mind open," Madison announced.
Allen thanked Madison for being accepting and communicative because people weren't always nice to him. Michelle also admitted she could be "moody" and so she was appreciative that David was sticking it out with her.
On the last night of their honeymoon, Thomas decorated their bed with red rose petals, which really impressed Camille. Camille, however, still wasn't ready to model her lingerie for her husband because she needed to feel a little more safe and secure.
Thomas told his wife that there was no pressure, and she appreciated his understanding and calm demeanor.
"I do see differences from guys I've dated in the past, but probably in a good way. I think he might show me a different love that I've had and never knew that I needed," Camille said.
On Day 10 of marriage, the couples packed up their clothes and were ready to return to Chicago.
When talking about their conflicting schedules, David pointed out how they weren't going to be on top of each other. But Michelle admitted David's coming and going wouldn't be a problem because she didn't want to share a bed with him.

"I'm not feeling a connection here, and so I definitely don't think I will be comfortable sharing a bed with you. That's all," Michelle explained.
David said he was "trying" with his wife after rocky times, but Michelle pointed out how she couldn't help the way she felt.
Allen then shared with Madison how, on paper, she was everything he wanted and needed; however, Madison was hoping to get past that "roommate" feeling with her husband once they settled into real life in Chicago.
After touching down in Chicago, each couple moved into their new apartment together in Chicago.
Michelle and David picked out their respective rooms, and Ikechi admitted he'd have to get used to having a dog around and taking that dog out every morning.
The episode concluded with Madison having a heart to heart with Allen about the way he dressed and behaved.

"For me, what I prefer in a partner is somebody who actively takes care of themselves and finds it important to pay attention to those little things that will make him look and feel good," Madison told her husband.
"Obviously going to the gym is important to me, and that motivation is very attractive to me. I would like my partner to be that way as well."
Allen claimed he was active through manual labor and doing construction, but he conceded to doing some lifting as well.
Madison also told Allen his loud outfits weren't her style and she hoped that he'd want to look good for her. Madison suggested that Allen looked like "a mess" and wasn't trying to impress her.
"Okay, well!" Allen said with a laugh.
"I'm trying to communicate what I find attractive, and some little changes might help with [those issues] I'm having a hard time with," Madison shared.

Allen listened to Madison's concerns and said they could figure it out.
During Allen and Madison's first night together in their new apartment, Madison went out for happy hour and apparently stayed out more than three hours.
Allen sat in a hot tub alone and complained about how he wished his beautiful wife was beside him.
"I'm a little disappointed," Allen admitted.
