The three Dallas-based couples who tied the knot at first sight this season were Tristan, a 29-year-old former collegiate and semi-pro basketball player who recently started a tutoring center business, and Mia, a 29-year-old airline recruiter; Amber Martorana, a 36-year-old division order analyst, and Dave Flaherty, a 37-year-old senior portfolio manager; and Bobby Dodd, a 27-year-old project manager, and Danielle Bergman, a 30-year-old account executive.

They were matched by the following Married at First Sight experts: Psychologist Dr. Jessica Griffin, sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and marriage counselor Pastor Calvin Roberson.

The Married at First Sight broadcast began on Day 42 of marriage.

Amber and Dave felt they had been married for much longer than six weeks, but only two weeks remained of the experiment. Amber admitted to her mother on video chat that she tended to overreact or be sensitive to things Dave did and said because of her insecurities.

Amber and Dave both hoped they'd make the same, positive choice on "Decision Day," but they were taking things one day at a time and needed to make sure they could conquer their issues and grow as a couple.

Meanwhile, Mia confessed to Tristan she was stressed out about managing work, marriage and a potential move to Houston, TX. There was a lot to be done and not a lot of time to do it.

Tristan then broached the topic of how Mia never followed up on a call to get Tristan on her health insurance plan. He felt her priorities were not in order, but Mia didn't understand why health care was an immediate issue.

Mia said she didn't know Tristan had canceled his health insurance and he should have communicated that to her, but Tristan acknowledged it was "a common sense thing" he wouldn't have two health-care plans.

"I'm worried that Tristan didn't tell me about this. We're supposed to be working as a team and building a future together. This makes me feel like we're not in this together at all, and that definitely hurts," Mia told the cameras.

As for Bobby and Danielle, she was out of work and so Bobby met up with a friend for dinner. Bobby gushed about how he missed his wife and his communication with Danielle was great. Bobby didn't expect his relationship to remain perfect, but he was thrilled with the way things were going.

Mia was then shown opening up to Tristan about how it bothered her that he had canceled his health insurance without talking to her first.

Tristan felt he had to get tasks done himself because he had been waiting on Mia to do things for far too long, but she didn't appreciate his attitude or habit of talking over her or for her.

"Tristan always has to have control of the situation and if he doesn't have that control, he gets frustrated and takes it out on me, and that's not going to keep us married for the next 50 years," Mia vented.

Tristan then accused Mia of saying things she didn't mean in reference to her view of moving to Houston. Tristan told Mia that if she wanted to stay in Dallas, she could stay, and he wasn't going to force her to want to be with him.

"I'm done," Tristan said, as he walked away from the heated conversation.

After Dave surprised Amber with flowers to plant on their rooftop for a fun activity and they discussed family traditions, Bobby discovered the sweet letter Danielle had written him before her work trip to Houston.

Danielle expressed her feelings for Bobby on paper since she struggles to communicate her emotions verbally. She wanted Bobby to know that she'd never take advantage of him, and Bobby was truly touched by the gesture. Bobby was confident Danielle would fall in love with him sooner or later.

Meanwhile, Mia and Tristan's tense conversation about insurance and the move to Houston escalated to the point of Mia leaving his apartment.

"He basically gave me an ultimatum that I need to go to Houston or I can't stay here in our home," Mia said. "He started packing up my stuff and literally threw me out like it was nothing... God forbid if something really serious happened, how would he react then?"

Mia said an argument over bills and prioritization was not a good enough reason for Tristan to lash out and put their marriage in jeopardy. Mia noted she was starting to see "the real" Tristan, as he was shown placing Mia's suitcases outside of the door, and in order to protect herself, Mia decided to go back to her old condo.

Tristan complained he was "drained" and tired of the "explosions" and "miscommunication." He had reached his "breaking point."

Mia said her safe place and her home had transformed into "a battle ground." Tristan acknowledged if Mia had "cold feet" about Houston, she wasn't as committed to their marriage as she allowed him to believe.

"I'm feeling that if she left, maybe that's what is best... I didn't say the marriage was over. I just said, 'Just go to your condo if that's what you want to do. Don't say you don't want to go to Houston if you want to stay in my house," Tristan explained.

This dramatic event changed everything for Mia.

Danielle then returned home from her work trip after being gone for several days, and Bobby noted distance definitely made the heart grow fonder.

And as for Amber and Dave, they enjoyed a romantic dinner together prepared by Dave. The couple was feeling more confident in their romance than ever, and Amber told the cameras their future together looked bright as long as they could stay on this path.

"At this point, I'm starting to feel a lot more secure in my marriage. It's taken me a long time to get there; I just wasn't quite sure how Dave felt and I had insecurities that are normal, but I think everything we've gone through has just made us stronger," Amber explained.

On Day 44 of marriage, Danielle and Bobby discussed their future goals, as did Amber and Dave. Bobby and Danielle hoped to have their first child by age 30 and eventually retire by a lake or ocean, and Dave and Amber agreed starting a family would be in their near future.

Amber revealed she'd like to be in a retirement community at age 55, which Dave thought was hilarious and unrealistic. Dave was discovering more and more how quirky his wife was, but he really liked her silly personality.

Meanwhile, Tristan and Mia were still trying to work through their issues. Pastor Cal advised Tristan to never use his marriage as "leverage" or make relationship threats, and he wasn't sure their marriage was salvageable.

On Day 45 of marriage, the three Married at First Sight couples were supposed to participate in a fun "field day" filled with activities, but Mia and Tristan weren't going to make it. Danielle was upset Tristan and Mia "bailed" on them.

The activities were designed for romantic couples, enabling the pairs to communicate, work and play as a team, and find out how well they know their spouses.

"Bobby and Danielle are struggling a little bit in this challenge," Dave said after winning the first two events with Amber.

"Danielle is getting a little bit frustrated. I think Bobby is getting a little bit frustrated as well. So, I don't know, maybe the 'Perfect 10' isn't quite as perfect as everyone thought they were."

Danielle felt she was letting Bobby down because he's super competitive, and in the end, Dave and Amber won all three events. Danielle and Bobby, however, had fun even though they lost.

Over lunch after "field day," the two couples agreed how Tristan crossed the line by tossing Mia's stuff out of their place.

Danielle said she wouldn't be able to forgive Bobby if he did that to her, and Dave admitted kicking someone out should simply never be an option. It was clear both couples were on Mia's side, and Danielle even went as far as to say she wouldn't move to Houston and uproot her life for someone who's willing to toss her stuff out during challenging times.

Pastor Cal then traveled to Dallas to meet with Tristan and Mia together in a neutral place. Both individuals were very hurt, but Pastor Cal was hoping to help them communicate with each other in a constructive way to get to the bottom of their issues.

Mia explained to Tristan she felt "discarded" very easily and was afraid a similar event might happen if she moves to Houston with him.

"Mia is under the impression that I kicked her out, but in reality, she is the one that gave up on us and really gave up on me. I need her to understand this affected me more than I think she really understands," Tristan told the cameras.

Tristan accused Mia of not being open and honest with him about their potential move to Houston, and he argued, "I said, 'If you don't want to be here, then I don't want you here.' And all you heard was, 'I don't want you here.' And that was my fault; I shouldn't have said that."

Mia still felt like Tristan had kicked her out and she didn't deserve that at all, especially considering she wanted to stay with him and sleep with him. Mia was under the impression they had made a long-term commitment to each other, but she said Tristan's actions didn't reflect the words that had been promised.

Mia confessed she felt "worthless" when Tristan let her leave, and Tristan felt like a terrible husband. He said he never wanted Mia to feel that way, and Tristan noted he was ashamed of himself.

"Maybe I'm not Superman. Maybe I'm not the rock you said I was or think I was, and maybe I'm not what's best for you. I can't handle this anymore. I feel like my marriage is a failure and it's all my fault. I'm done," Tristan vented.

Tristan didn't know what to do, because it hurt him to think Mia thought he was a bad husband. However, both Mia and Tristan confirmed their love and care for one another, and Tristan said he had a deep passion for her that was very deep and scary.

"I apologize, because I want to be better," Tristan told his wife.

Mia realized how Tristan was feeling about the whole thing and their fight had gotten out of hand. Mia said things were blown out of proportion, and at the end of the day, she loved Tristan and wanted to stay married to him.

Mia and Tristan agreed to listen to one another going forward, keep their hearts open, and not repeat mistakes of the past. With that being said, Mia moved back into the home they had established together, and Tristan was relieved they were able to move on.

"I'm trying to be positive in thinking our worst fight is past us. I still love Tristan, and having this humongous fight isn't a huge dealbreaker for me," Mia said in a confessional.

"Because at the end of the day, we still choose to be committed to each other, and right now, I'm feeling hopeful that we'll be able to work through anything that comes our way, and that makes me think our future is going to be perfect."
