FYI has announced it has renewed its No. 1 rated series, Married at First Sight, for a fifth season slated to air in 2017. Production is already underway.
In the next season, three couples -- comprised of six complete strangers who don't even know each other's names -- will once again marry the moment they meet. The couples who are matched up by a panel of experts will tie the knot in Chicago, IL. Previous seasons were filmed in Miami, New York and Atlanta.
Sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz is the only original expert to remain on the panel. She will be joined next season by Rachel DeAlto, a communication and relationship expert, as well as Pastor Calvin Roberson, a marriage counselor, who joined the show last season.
The experts have been working together to form three compatible couples out of 40,000 candidates who applied for the opportunity.

The Married at First Sight episodes will feature the newlyweds marry, honeymoon, move in together, and attempt to get through the daily struggles of life. After about a month of hard work, each couple must determine whether they'd like to stay married or get a divorce.
Season 4 of the series just wrapped on October 25 with two couples deciding to stay married. The reunion special will air on Tuesday, November 1 at 8:30PM ET/PT.
As previously announced, FYI also ordered the spinoff Married at First Sight: Second Chances.
Second Chances will follow Atlanta-based singles David Norton and Vanessa Nelson -- who married Ashley Doherty and Tres Russell, respectively, on Season 3 of Married at First Sight but eventually divorced despite their strong desire for life partnerships -- as they get another shot to find love with multiple interested suitors.
Married at First Sight is produced by Kinetic Content and executive produced by Chris Coelen, Sam Dean and Gena McCarthy.
